I agree with that too!! Outside of winning the lottery...a day where both the Yanks and Red Sox lose is a great day. Too bad today wasn't a great day Frown

Brilliant analysis! Try telling that to Wang. I'm guessing his three blowout losses mean a bit more to him than a 3-2 loss.

On top of that the Sox are no longer in last genius but hey, if you don't have anything based in fact go ahead and make it up if it makes you feel better about watching you 210 million dollar team get crushed every other night in that 1.3 billion dollar little league sized park where routine fly balls become home runs. Too bad for them the Yanks can't even hit some routine fly balls.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! There's 22 laughs, one for each run the Yanks pathetic pitching staff gave up today. We'll see who's in the basement come September.

Add a few more Ha Ha and you get to the number of World Series titles the Yankees have won. How many does your pathetic team have?

Boston has 7 championships in 108 years.

Jays have 2 in 32 years. Pretty much the same years to championship ratio...but at 1/10 the price. Big Grin

Mezzo, either your Jays can really hit or my Twins pitching has taken a step back. It was hard watching your team kick the crap out of mine.

I only posted on this thread because I enjoy reading posts by the Hatfields and the McCoys (Yankees and Boston fans). Personally, I'm not a big baseball fan, but I do watch the game from time to time.

Mpls wine guy, I think the Jays' bats are getting better. Pitching has been quite good the last couple of years, but now they're finally scoring some runs too. Sorry about the 31-13 runs during our recent 4 game series with the Twins. Cool

Tigers are actually looking competitive so far. That's more than I expected. Pitching early on looks better than I had hoped.

Blue Jays looked good. Too bad the Tigers drew them to open the season.

Matt Kemp hits an inside pitch the other way for a grand slam. You cannot teach power like that. 8 game winning streak! Cool

Didn't they win in 2000?

-Papi has been the same as he was last year when Manny was here. Horrible unfortunately. I've already laid out my theory on him before but besides him being 33 and out of shape if his name wasn't on the list of 103 I'd be surprised.

-Technically 2000 was the last year of last Century.

Clinging to the past won't make them any better in the present. Nicklaus won more majors than Tiger but who would you take as your partner in a tournament today? It was the New York papers that called them the Worthless Stinkees, not me.

I'm willing to bet one of my pricier wines that the Yankees will win the World Series before the Red Sox do.

I think most people would consider 2000 to be the start of the 21st Century.

I’ve never been, but I have heard great things. My best friend is a Giants fan (I can look past people’s obvious flaws Razz) and we have been trying to plan a trip up to catch a game. I’ll let you know my thoughts after I see for myself…

Most people would be wrong about that too clicky

I'm certainly willing to take that bet but the last Yankee's fan I made a bet for a bottle of wine with up and disappeared, cheap suit and all, after losing and never paid up.

Thankfully, Wang will not be pitching against the Red Sux this time around. Girardi's sitting him down. The pitcher with the highest winning percentage in the majors over the previous three seasons has an ERA of over 30.

Just one more sip.

If your definition of best includes the most vulgar and racist bleacher um, bums, then yes.

If your definition of best means the most history, then yes.

If your definition of best means sight lines inside the park, views outside the park, beauty of the setting, and amenities, then no....

Too bad the new Marlins ballpark won't be in Miami Beach...cause it would have the views outside the park (bikinis, etc) and in terms of setting 2nd to none.
