It was really fun to see Pedro back on the mound last night. That will give the Phillies a nice boost in their rotation. I think he's going to give up the longball once they get back to Philly though. I think one or two of those deep flies would have been gone if he was at home last night.

Yeah, that blown call screwed me in my fantasy league, it seemed pretty clear that the runner was out at first. On the plus side (for my team) Beckett is on fire and had another very strong game for his 14th W.

Happy to get the win after two severe beatings as our offense sucks. Given recent history, fun to be in contention for more than the cellar this year and anything is possible if your team gets in the play-offs.
It was a pretty close play. In super slow-mo you can tell he was out, but not by much. Tough call at full speed. I tell you one thing; I don’t want to face the Giants in the playoffs with their starting pitching….
It wasn't that close. The umpiring in this series was as bad as I have seen in a long, long time. Between Hahn's blown calls at first, Darling's blown call at first, and the missed HBP on Sandoval (which started the fun dust-up - will Martin get suspended for pushing the umpire?), it was truly atrocious.

Cliff Lee did it today again for the Phils. He is now 3-0 since the trade with a great ERA. He is the latest Cleveland pitcher to be traded to the National League that is having an excellent second half, ala CC Sabathia with Milwuakee last year. After a swepp of the Cubs it is off to Allanta for the weekend.

Strange how the braggart shuts up when the Red Sux show their true colors, huh?
Just one more sip.

Irwin,
I like what the Orioles are doing, though. Starting with the Bedard trade last year, they are restructuring their team and will, at least, pass the Jays probably next year.
Tough loss for the Sox today. Buhcholz pitched a great game and there is definitely cause for optimism with him. I blame Francona for sitting both Drew and Pedroia when Verlander was pitching. They need to start sitting Ortiz. He is batting 118 this month.
Huge series with the Rangers coming up this weekend.

You're the only one who disappears. I'm always here talking smack as you like to say. Then when your team finally shows up you pop up and call people out. It's easy to see from your posts, or lack there of, you were no where to be found in this forum when the Yankee's were out of first place. The exact day they took over can proably be traced by the date you reappeared here. We all know you live in the past but how far back did you have to go to find that comment so you could make up a response to it? What a f*****g loser you are. Get a life will you? You don't have many years left so why spend them being an addled delusional miserable grumpy old prick?

You're simply a classless liar. I posted here when the Yankees were losing. Your obscenties show a lack of breeding, common with people of no class. Language like yours is what people use when they lack the intelligence for cogent expression. You're simply loud-mouthed trash. Ever drink any wine?

Good luck...well, not actually..I'm hoping for Sherman's revenge. Marlins v. Rockies...who hold the Wildcard lead...so hopefully the Braves and Marlins and work some magic. Philly fans being happy is like Britney getting credibility.

Board-O, While you know I also despise your Yanks, you are spot on. Ice resembles so many Sox fans that visited during Spring Training growing up. We laughed at many of them. Not to mention I wanted to slap that accent right outta the head!

For the actual subject at hand I liked seeing the Sox get Alex Gonzalez. I wish they had never let him go. Easily the best defensive player I have seen in Boston in my lifetime.
For the BOzo in New York, I'm from New Hampshire. I don't have that accent any more than you have a brain in your head. Noth that I expect you to grasp the difference in accents between Bostonian's and people 50 miles out of the city. Do people in Hartford have the same accent as most New Yorker's?
As for your post history on this topic lets see shall we. You started off the season spewing until early May when the Sox smacked around the Yankee's. After that nothing for weeks until the Yankees pulled even for a few days at the end of May then you showed up again for a few posts, what a surprise. Then they quickly tanked and you dissapeared for 43 out of the next 44 days until the All-Star break when the Yankee's momentarily regained the lead and once they got it back again you surfaced again blowing hot air like a crusty old barnacle covered whale.
And what happens to you in between those time periods from say May 30th to July 13th? You disappear. Scream LIAR LIAR and deny it all you like but the facts are the facts and it's all right here in black and tan. Also nice work going back to May 7th to find a quote that you could respond to, but I guess since your front-running depends wearing rear end hasn't been around much since then until the Yankee's had first place secured you had a lot of catching up to do.

Which one? The former Marlin? Can he hit over 200 in the AL? I doubt it.

He couldn't when he was here in 2006 either so I have no reason to believe he will now either but Green has hit a his journeyman wall, Lowrie is hurt (again) and Lugo is long gone. Since they already have 20 errors or so at the spot this year and nobody has hit their weight anyhow they may as well get some great defense out of the position. The guy is just fun to watch.

I dont like this. The guy had surgery this past offseason and he just got off the DL. He can't hit.

The biggest A-Hole on these boards calling people low class trash. Too funny. If you're high class I'm happy to be in whatever class you are not but something tells me people with true class don't need to keep trying to convince themselves they're better than everyone else by writing it over and over and over. You also either have dimentia or alzheimers setting in because if you can't see that there's no lies in what I write, even though the evidence is clear right before your bi-focal covered eyes, you should seek some immediate medical help. Repeat after me. You're good enough, smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like you. Repeat that enough and you might not constantly feel the need to try and put everyone else down.

You use obscenity and vulgarity because you can't make a point without it. You come here solely to mock others when your losing Red Sux happen to win on occasion. You have no knowledge of wine and contribute nothing to this site but low class trash. Obfuscate as you will, but it's clear to all that you live in a sty.
Just one more sip.

Guess you two won't be getting together for a beer anytime soon. The best time of the year in baseball is here, the dog days, the pennant drive, and wild card scenarios abound. Enjoy.

You make my points for me. Your a bold faced liar and an a-hole and you have prove it to everyone here for years. I don't mock anyone, except the Yankee's team and now yourself. I just cheer my teams on and you can't handle that. I don't expect you to get it, just about everything else goes over your head also. Tough when the mind goes but that's where you're at I guess.
