He'll be back as soon as the Yankees drop to second.
Just one more sip.

Here we go again. It would be nice if the Giants could hit.

Of course, Icewhiner's team, has a century old record of being losers, so I'll cut him some slack.
Rootin against you both....and Philly..LOL
Hey we don't have any beef with the Rays. I think they make a great farm team. I will thank the team and the fans in advance for gving Crawford and Longoria to the Yankees. They'd look good in pinstripes. Speaking of Icewhiner, I haven't seen him post lately. I wonder why ...
Ummm, I guess you cant read. I've posted twice since your front running rear end last posted but don't let the facts get in your and Boring-O's way. A little piece of me is glad the Yankee's are back, it was boring around here without the front running NY fans spouting off. Neither of you post anything for weeks and the day the spankee's take first you both pop up. Classy, but I'd expect nothing less from New Yorker's.

Yeah, the Giants are starting to look like what we had anticipated this year, or perhaps "feared" would be a more appropriate word. Nice run and hope they can rebound. This road trip has been dreadful. Pittsburg has kicked us all over the place the past few years.

Actually, I was waiting for your next post about how the great Red Sox farm system will bring reinforcements to your depleted team. Just making sure you haven't folded your Red Sux tent and put up your Patriots one.

I haven't folded up the tent yet. It is nice to have Bucholtz in line now that Wakefield is down with a bad back but other than that the farm system lacks what they beed. Bats.
My tent is still up as I await my Caymus but the Tom Brady jersey is being dusted off. Hopefully I'll be flying the Pats flag again soon.

Cardinals picked up Holliday from the A's. Nice protection for Puhols. More prospects for the A's and amazed the A's were reported to have sent cash to the Cardinals.

Damn. That is a nice pick up. I was hoping the Red Sox might be working on the exact same thing. Maybe they can sign him in the off season instead. I don't think he'll be much protection though. You'd still have to walk Pujols and take your chances with whoever is behing him in any spot that matters.

Congrats to Rickey Henderson, Jim Rice, and others for their induction to the Hall of Fame. Rickey was fun to watch and equally fun to hear his quotes. No doubt HOF and above anyone playing today.

Loved watching Ricky play and he holds the title for best looking headfirst slide ever. Rice doesn’t belong in the HOF but playing in such a baseball town like Boston pushed him over the edge. If he played for a smaller market with less vocal fans he would not have made it. See Andre Dawson & Dale Murphy.

Heard they were going to bat Puhols 3rd with Holliday batting 4th.

Sure hope the Giants start hitting or find a hitter to make a push for the play-offs. Still a week left before the deadline.

From an April 3rd prognostication ... Let me see ... with the exception of Beckett on the shelf, all of the other predictions have come true. Yanks will be mostly on the road for the next couple of weeks including games with the Sux. Tough stretch.

Right you are. Ortiz was only at the top of all the offensive categories for the month of June. He'll never be the same again. Penny I think has helped quite a bt and still looks good to me. Smoltz would look good in the pen but he has one bad inning every outing and that isn't going to work as a starter but he can still help. Also I'd rather see those AAA guys than Dice-K. I don't care about his stats last year he doesn't entertain me and actually makes it hard for me to even watch a game he pitches in. Oh and 'Tek, they're getting more from him for his 5 mil (13/40/.231) plus he can actually be used as a catcher than the Spankee's are getting out of Posada for 13 mil (13/45/.287) but preach on my good man, I'll be happy to listen over a glass of Caymus.

A nice three game sweep of the Bucs. Good! Garko for a A-ball prospect. Good! Sanchez for Alderson? I don't know about that one...

Ugh. The Red Sox have a couple bad beating in a row to a lousy team, putting them 3.5 out Sadly I hope Theo & Co. are doing everything possible short of giving away the farm to get Doc into town. If the Yankmee's are going to stay red hot they can't be dropping the games they should win.

I'm surprised to see you post after a couple of losses Icewino. I figured at the very least you'd wait until your team won a few more games.
3.5 games is a nice lead but need a bigger cushion since the Sux appear to have the Yanks number this year. The fact that the Yanks have lost all 8 games to the Sux so far this year but have this lead is pretty incredible.
I'm a little disappointed with the Cliff Lee trade -- was hoping the Yanks would land him. Hope the Jays priced themselves out of trading Doc. It would be very dumb to trade him to a team within their division.

I could be waiting a while for a few more wins the way they're going lately. I leave the front running to you and Boring-O who don't post at all unless the Spankee's are regaining first place.
The Sox need a bat bad, and it sure wouldn't hurt to get Haliday either. The Jay's can't put together a winner in Toronto and have some big contracts to pay with no fans to pay them. If you could get him out of the division it would be best from their standpoint but if the Sox or Yanks make the best offer and you can get good young players to build on I think they have to make the move now. Next year he wont get half as much in trade if they deal him then. Maybe the Yanks want to part with the head hunting drunk punk Chamberlin and or Hughes/Kennedy. They're probably going to go after Haliday after his contract is up anyhow so why not try to sign him to an extension if you get him now. Same for the Sox, who IMO have more to offer in trade than the Yanks do.
