So do the Dodgers. As much as I would hate to give up Kemp, Halladay would make the Dodgers a legit World Series threat.

If Riccardi trades Doc for anything less than two top arms and a top position player, he should be fired immediately.

Inge got the Final Man vote! I can't believe it. I think most Tigers fans are kind of shocked - he has always been pretty sub-par as a .220 hitter with a bit of power. But, he has been great this year...for those that are not that impressed with his offensive stats, check out some Web Gems. I voted for him a ton all day today and am glad to see he got in there.
It is still very strange that the Tigers got 4 All Stars and their best player is not one of them, though.

Does anyone know what the mets are doing? Church for Franceur? That is a big down grade at the plate and not an upgrade in the field. Even worse its in the division. God they are a horrible run franchise!

Baseball oddity: On Thursday night, the Nationals finished a game with Houston that had been suspended 65 days ago. In the interim, there were a number of trades, including the Nationals trading away pitcher Joel Hanrahan, who was on the mound when the game was suspended. The Nationals acquired Nyger Morgan. When the game resumed, Morgan was inserted to run, because the guy who was on base wasn't on the team any longer. The game had been suspended in the 11th inning. It took 7 minutes to finish the suspended game. Morgan scored the winning run in the suspended game, though he wasn't even on the team at the beginning of the game. What's more, Hanrahan, who was no longer on the Nationals, got the win, even though he was hanging out in Philadelphia when the game concluded in Houston. (He heard about his win via text message). Odd. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/bl...ter-l?urn=mlb,175870

Actually I've been avoiding this symphony for a while now, but it sure is nice to know we were at least on the same page. Btw, what the $#@% do we do now? Keep the same team? They sure seem to have a lot of magic going on. Or, do we do what we can to get Freddy Sanchez and Adam LaRoche, even if it means giving up our Sanchez. -any talk about a dirty... you know what, will be deleted.

Thank you Charlie Manuel for choosing your own players to replace injured All-Stars. The past two nights, Pablo has hit two homers and is 4 for 6 with 5 RBI. Thank you for lighting the fire. It would not be a good idea to have a guy hitting over .330 on your team.

The NL needed Pablo tonight. Manny would have been a great addition as well. Two unfundamental hitters that are just plain hitters. Guess the Giants will have to win one game on the road to win it all this year. Wishful thinking on my part. It is a long season but the play-offs are very short and with a good pitching staff, very short has the potential to be very good. Go Giants

I would love to see Adam Dunn or Matt Holliday added to the roster by the end of the month.

My wish list includes Sanchez or Uggla to fill the hole at 2nd base. The day after the All-Star game has to be the worst day of the season other than your team being eliminated.

Icewhiner would be crowing how his wonderful team is in fist place by a whole game. Not me. I realize this season is miles from over and a one game lead at this point means virtually nothing. Of course, Icewhiner's team, has a century old record of being losers, so I'll cut him some slack.
Just one more sip.

Hey we don't have any beef with the Rays. I think they make a great farm team. I will thank the team and the fans in advance for gving Crawford and Longoria to the Yankees. They'd look good in pinstripes. Speaking of Icewhiner, I haven't seen him post lately. I wonder why ...
