Good afternoon everyone. Isn't it a lovely Memorial Day weekend out there!

All I care about is the record after Columbus Day.

That's easy, the Yankee's will be 0-0 with zero games played.

Yeah, he is always fun to watch, but he is on another level right now. Hope he can stay healthy for a change.

The contract the Yankee's are going to give him in 2011 will make Texiera's look like chump change.

I think the twinkies will have no choice but to get him under contract. The hand may shake when it comes time to sign the check, but the fans would form a coup if they let their beloved local boy (aka:Baby Jesus)go!

Where the Hell did Greinke come from? And can he continue this?

That kid is amazing. Much better than this Japanese phenom the Sox picked up a few years ago. I can't wait until we can get rid of Dice and put a real pither in the rotation like Bucholtz, Masterson, Bard, Bowdin. Take your pick their all better than this guy who's scared to throw a strike to MLB hitters. Other than the WBC this guy is useless.

How soon they forget. 18-3 last year with a 2.90 ERA in a division full of offense is not to bad. I know he can be frustrating to watch because he walks a lot of guys, but his career numbers don’t lie. Don’t you think he might just be battling back from injury and should get back to form soon?

Greinke is a great story. This article in Sports Illustrated tells the tale. A big part of it appears to be his confronting and treating his social anxiety disorder.

Red Sux fans have evolved to only have short-term memory because they didn't want to be reminded of 100 years of futility.

Oh look who's on your rear-view mirror Icewino -- it's the $210M Yankees! Imagine that ... lost all 5 games to the Red Sox, yet just 1/2 game back.

They're even, but just ignore Icewhino's ridiculous posts. Remember how the Patriots were going to embarass the Giants?

Just one more sip.

Speaking of the Patriots Tom Brady is riding around Boston on a bicycle. Looks like the knee is back. Look out NFL! (Insert Howard Dean scream here)

But as for Dice K it my complaint is only partly because of his poor performance and I'm just pissed about that because it's his own fault he got the tired arm pitching in the WBC. The Sox just have an abundance of young guns right now that would be much more entertaining to watch and in the end that's why I tune in each night. At the end of the year I want them to win it all but I want to be entertained while getting there. Isn't that the point of sports?

My real issue with him is the nibbling and painting the corners and that he hasn't figured out he's not going to get those calls in the majors like he did in Japan. Just throw a strike and let someone field it once in a while. His numbers don't lie but I've given up on watching his games for the most part. Just too frustrating and long. I'll gladly take the 18 wins at the end of the season but it's like sausage, the end product is great but I don't want to see how it's made.

Exactly, very impressive the way the psychological aspect changed his whole game. I know I would not feel comfortable with a whole stadium watching my every move.

They're in the mirror all right. Comming along like an ageing classic automobile leaking oil and belching smoke but there they are just 1/2 a game back.

Board-O just has me rolling on the floor with his witty play on my moniker. Thank god he stopped ignoring me, I've been lost without his wisdom and wit. Maybe I should just return the favor and refer to him as the others do with Bored-O, Boring-O or Boorish-O. Nah, on second thought I think I'll just ignore his irrelevant posts.

I'd make some sort an Icewhino childish post about first place, but I have enough knowledge of the game to realize that the standings at this point of the season mean very little.

Just one more sip.

You sure do think highly of yourself don't you BO. Your crusty old stick in the mud self needs to loosen up and have a little more fun with life before it's over, but I'm sure you've heard that before. We're not all sitting around here with our monacles and tuxedos on every day sipping our first growths. I say, good show old boys. Good show.

It's a bad start to the day when I go to MLB.com and see the Yankee's are in first place. All good things come to an end. Looks like it's game on now.

Just to prove your point beyond a doubt, see which team is leading the AL West. Wink

You think they'll be there at the end of the season? Angels have a lot of talent, as do the Rangers.

Just one more sip.

Heck no!

That is why I agreed with your... standings at this point of the season mean very little statement.

They may go 1-5 on their pending 6 game road trip.

I'm just hopeful we get a new owner, and soon.

Beckett, Lester and the Red Sox are back on top. What a great weekend it's turning out to be. Then on Tuesday the pin stripes arrive at friendly Fenway for a first place showdown. I'm actually glad the Yankee's are hanging around this year because the rivalry lost it's edge when they sucked it up last year.

I'm going to enjoy the Caymus that you will be sending me at the end of the season.
