Have you ever seen those ads/banners on ESPN.com for I.Q. tests? You know, Terrell Owens = 110; Alabama football fans = 85; etc?
Well, right about now I'd put Roger Clemens' I.Q. at around 105 (and it's dropping rapidly).

What an absolute disaster it is every time he opens his mouth; and this after hiring a new P.R. firm. Roll Eyes

He has a history of heart disease in his family, including his stepfather? Big Grin

Clemens is out of the game, why doesn't he just take that opportunity to shut up and fade away?

Does he really want perjury proceedings?

Clemens is an idiot for going on the mike and mike show this morning. He's in a world of trouble with no way out.

MLB makes exceptions for some people even though the substances are banned. Ritalin, an amphetamine, is banned, unless you get the prescription approved and then it's allowed, plus a few other exceptions.

Is there a lawyer in the house? Here's the exact wording in the policy Kumazam. Feel free to admit you're wrong any time.

Therapeutic Use Exemption
1. A Player authorized to ingest a Prohibited Substance through a valid, medically appropriate prescription provided by a duly licensed physician shall receive a Therapeutic Use Exemption (“TUE”). To be “medically appropriate,” the Player must have a documented medical need under the standards accepted in the United States or Canada for the prescription in the prescribed dosage. A urine sample which is found to contain a Prohibited Substance will not be deemed a positive test result if such sample was provided by a Player with an effective TUE for that substance. A Player with a TUE for a Prohibited Substance does not violate the Program by possessing or using that substance.

Having read the policy over and conferred with several professional legal colleagues, we have come to the inevitable conclusion that Boston and their fans suck.

I agree, Boston sucks in championship trophies like a black hole.

The Pawtucket Red Sox are beating up on the hapless Angels. Wake me when it's over.

Damn Rally Monkey. I thought we killed that thing in the playoffs last year.

I didn't really expect a bunch of utility and minor league guys to pull it out but it was just too boring to watch. If they don't win today with Pedroia back I'll be a little more disapointed.

And I'm sick of watching Big Pop-up flounder around. Move him down in the order or bench him. I'm grateful for what he did in the past but he's killing them now.

Tigers are hanging in there much better than I would have thought. They'd be even better if they had a bullpen.

Only if the Yankees played in the same division this year. Glad the Twinkies were in town! I was ready to go shopping for a Caymus for Icewino.

I think Gardenhire is like 3 wins and 29 losses in his career as twins manager between the old and new Yankee stadiums. Frown

Why postpone the inevitable. The comeback kids can't win on walk-offs forever and then it'll be back to the cellar with 'em. Well, maybe not the cellar as long as Baltimore is around but a close second. And if on your shopping you come across any of Johnny Damons supplemental juice products could you pick some up and mail them to Ortiz. I'll be happy to pay you back for them.

He's still a few points above that but we're stuck with this guy for at least the next 2 years at 13 mil per, unless of course the Yankee's want to take another aging superstar onto their roster. Then either Damon can share the juicy juice or Rodriguez can teach the guy the classic Canseco HR uppercut so they can both bat below .200 but still pop out homers in the little league field in the Bronx.

LOL!!! Awesome. Texeira would have been a perfect fit in Fenway. Oh wait ... Texeira ditched the Red Sux for a little more money from the Yanks.

Dodgers with the best record in baseball despite losing Manny. I like it, but I just don’t have 100% confidence in my team with Jeff Weaver in the rotation Eek. He has pitched well so far…..

I hope he's happy with a few more bucks and an inferior team for the rest of his career. That hasn't worked out so well for Manny so far.

When your team is "down" and you see the Twinkies coming up on the schedule, smile, things are about to get better for your club. They are currently restoring hope for the Chi Sox. I heard they were also toying with the notion of allowing the pitchers to wear skirts and pitch underhand to mix things up a bit. WTF!

Looks like the Twinkies have found a recipe for winning. Score 20 runs a game and worry not about the pitcher, or bullpen for that matter!

That'll work. Yankees are coming around without Wang, Posada, Molina, Nady, and until recently A-Rod, Matsui, and Bruney. When they're finally healthy, they'll be fine.

Just one more sip.

You really think they'll be fine with A-Rod and Texiera hitting below .200? That's a big black hole in the clean up spot. If all A-rod wants to do is hit homers to prove he can do it clean at the expense of the team, his average and RBI's they'll be screwed if they were to somehow slide into the post season.

On a separate note I'm tickled to see Joba the headhunter nailed by a comebacker. I hope he's not injured too badly but I'm glad he knows how his punk plunking of batters feels from the other end. I'm sure Youkilis is still laughing.
