Def Leapord (Ahem...Def Leppard Wink)
Metallica
Red Hot Chile Peppers
Club/Trance

Try the following:

The Cult - The Witch (Actually, the entire Cool World soundtrack)
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
U2 - Mofo
Vangelis - Opening & Closing Titles from The Bounty
Rocky IV Soundtrack
NIN - Closer

GIGA - okay, this doesn't seem to happen much around here, but, how old are you? I am 36 and haven't seen someone throw out 'The Witch' in a long time. I am, and have been, a huge Cult fan since back in the original days when they were the Southern Death Cult to the Cult, and even Ian Astbury's short lived Holy Barbarians. In fact, one of the best performances live of the Witch was by Ian with the Holy Barbarians in 93 or 94 in a little club in Detroit that held about 400 people.

Also, Closer, while a great song, brings to mind a slightly different kind of workout than what I think we are talking about here. Cool

Giga -

Oh, yes, Enigma, MCMXC a.D. is a great album. Check out The Ubiqutous Mr. Lovegrove by Dead Can Dance. That is another one that is close to a modern day Bolero for our generation. I was introduced to this song about 10 years ago and have enjoyed it ever since.

Someone else who likes Alkaline Trio and wine, awesome. I probably have about 30 Trio songs on my ipod shuffle, other favs include Goodbye Forever, Armageddon, and Hating Every Moment.
