This one is embarrassing, but who cares? Makes me think of Alicia Silverstone.

No particular order:

Ketty Lester - In Dreams
The Crystals - Da Doo Ron Ron
Sisters of Mercy - Temple of Love
George Michael- Freedom
Savoy Brown - Train to Nowhere
Cranberries - Dreams
The Sunrays - I Live for the Sun
Kraftwerk - Autobahn
Gary Numan - Cars

That actually took some brain power. Need a glass of wine...

Fun pop tune, though I personally felt that "Dance With Me Tonight" was the best song in the movie.

Great song, but I prefer "Talk To Ya Later" even more. Fee Waybill... what a name!

How about The LA's "There She Goes," which was a featured song in So I Married An Axe Murderer. I've always liked that song.

Years ago a friend and I would frequent a club on Thursday nights. We would get there early enough, and like clockwork, an older gentleman and I presume his wife would be there dancing. Their song was Lady in Red. Even as a young guy, I really enjoyed watching the elegant dancing that these two would do every thursday night to this song. I would think of them every time I heard this song.

The Knack is probably my favorite (two) hit wonder. With THIS and THAT.

Yea but one of your all time favs Chronic might be the worst bit of ghetto trash ever distributed to the American Public

Country vs. Rap is a landslide for C&W...even though I don't care for it much either.

C&W is music. Don't confuse it with rap.

I have loved rap / hip hop ever since I got my first Run DMC cassette tape in elementary school and I still listen to it more than any other genre. I totally get why it’s not for everyone, but to say it’s not music is just ridiculous. I don’t enjoy country or classical music, but I respect the art form and understand why people like it.

Reflecting my teen age years of the early 70's and my Carolina upbring of "shag beach music":

My Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes - Edison Lighthouse
My Baby Loves Lovin - White Plains
Smoke From a Distant Fire - Sanford Townsend Band
Right Back Where I'm Coming From - Maxine Nightinggale

If you are not from the Carolinas, you will not understand what we mean by "beach music and the shag dance" (relax in the UK, it does not mean that). Basically, it is a lot of R & B type music.
