Hello Everybody,

I fly from Switzerland to Californa for my job, and I really don't know what to do during my breaks!
I have to admit it's my first time in USA Wink ! Do you have any idea about which wineries I can visit where and how?
I am looking for small producers (do them exist in California?)

Regards

A beautiful winery to visit is Artesa in Napa, off Henry Road. The wines are fairly good. It is a beautiful location with very nice landscaping, artchitecture and gorgeous views. They have tastings and tours. Enjoy!

If you are near San Francisco, go to napa Valley and stay in Yountville. Many places to stay with great restaurants in this small town. Stay at the Vintage Inn or the Villagio. There are numerous wineries a short distance away, large and small. Do a search on the spectator web site for wineries to visit. There will be numerous suggestions. I recentlly enjoyed Darioush, The Terraces, Del Dotto and Paradigm. good luck!

From the mountain vineyards, to the Pacific Coast, to the inland valleys...the California Wine Country is very diverse. There are many California wineries; ranging from small, intimate tasting rooms to those with large, modern factilities. You are sure to discover your own favorites.

No matter where you are visiting in California, there will be a wine region not too far away. Major wine areas include Napa, Sonoma, the Sierra foothills, California's Central Coast, Mendocino, Temecula, and San Diego.
