I can't take watching Eli.

Jints must bring some competition for the QB job next year. 3 possesions inside the iggles 50 and no points..

Saints will send them packing.

Jet fan here, but it was a pretty damm good season considering a rookie coach, no running back and a quarterback with no arm. I wasn't expecting them to win up there, but they gave it a good go for a while. I'm pumped for next year though.

Giants shouldn't have even been in the playoffs. At least it makes it easier for ownership now: Fire Coughlin.

Eli is not the G-Men's biggest problem. Their vaulted defense has not made a stop in a clutch situation in months. Next year will not be pretty w/o Tikki to provide offense. I see myself going to more Rutgers games than Giant games in the upcoming season. Will trade Giants tickets for CdP...

Hunter,
Take it easy there champ! The Jets had the easiest schedule in the NFL this year, they beat only one team with a + .500 record and had NO significant injuries what so ever.
Next year they will not sneak up on anyone, will have a difficult schedule and still have way too many holes to fill.
The Jet fan has been a little bit too giddy lately and has unreasonable visions of granduer for 2007. Look for the Jets to take a step backwards in 2007!
The WIZARD has spoken!!

I can maybe name 4 teams better than them in the AFC right now, so I do not agree with that. Weak schedule, sure - but so did the Bears and other teams. I went 10-6 with 1/2 of the talent your team has and the NFC sucks. I'll bet you right now straight up for better record next year. You'll lose Mr. Wizard. No one is coming down harder than the New York Midgets next year. Frankly, I don't know how you can root for a collection of dicks like they have. (Coughlin, Barber, Shockey, Burris) Please...
They make the Yankee players you root for likeable (well maybe not). Razz

Your "deer in the headlights" quarterback is just a more expensive version of Dave Brown - enjoy him for a while. Your now ex running back wants to be the next Ted Koppel. Good luck with clueless loudmouth Tom Coughlin next year. I'll enjoy watching a real coach over the next 10 years (god willing) Smile

You take your football future....I'll take mine. Big Grin

Root for for the Yankees - it's all ya got for a while. Smile

You have your bet buddy. Giants have the better record in 2007 you owe me a first class lunch with the wine of my choice and vise versa.
The Giants have dicks? Did you hear your wide out Coles complaining about Mangini's training camp? Now that is a dick!
The Jets will be lucky to finish 7-9 next year. You say the NFC is weak, thank you, you just confirmed my earlier statement that the Jets schedule was a joke. They picked up 3 easy wins vs the NFC Central, do you think they would have went 3-1 vs. the NFC East..I don't think so.
The Jets will never get past a Wild Card game because your QB can only throw dink and dunk 3 yard passes. Ever see this guy try to throw a deep out pass? It looks like a wounded duck. Eli has only played three years, the kid has a cannon of an arm and is still only 25 years old. Remember Phil Simms and Jim Plunket..took them some time to develope too.
The Jet fans will come crashing down to earth next year with a schedule that includes the NFC East (Giants vs Jets) and alot tougher AFC foes.
Who is your RB's, wr's and QB??? You got nothing kid. Enjoy this past season because your Jets will "nose dive " in 2007.
I'm so sick of hearing about how great Mangini is, the honeymoon is over next year buddy and I will enjoy it all.

By the way, can you name the Mets starting rotation??? I hear this same nonsense from my brother in law who likes the same loser teams that you do. The last time the Jets won a championship Armstrong walked on the moon and Jimmy Hendrix played Monterey. The last time the Mets won one Milli Vanilli was tearing up the FM dial.. I rest my case Smile

Roll Eyes I'm going to save that statement.

I think you better compare him to Chuck Long and Jim Everett instead. High draft pick pedigrees with all the physical tools along with Pea sized quarterback brains that were busts. Joe Montana was built like an accountant. "Cannon arms" aren't enough, especially when half of the cannon balls end up out of bounds or in the other teams hands. You need a high Quarterback IQ to go with the "Great arm", which he really doesn't have anyway. The league has had many ex cannon throwers Wink Jeff George. There's another.

Eli ain't got it.

Chad Pennington doesn't have a 1/3 of the physical gifts of Eli nor the talent to work with and he is only 2 years removed from major shoulder surgery and he's still more efficient than baby Peyton. Chad's got balls and is a leader. Eli is a wimp and a loser.

I know I have you beaten down when you throw the Mets into the discussion when I never mention them. Razz

who's the G'Men's QB Coach & Offensive Coordinator?

Eli is sucking, but he's gotten worse as far as mechanics since he's been in the league and in turn his confidence is slim to none, and for that, i don't blame him entirely but the coaches as well - you have to put people in situations where they'll succeed... coincidentally, P Rivers is a prime example and the way Marty handled him to begin the season

Kumazan,
I don't care to hear a Californian's opinion on the NY Giants. Califorinans are fraud sports fans who eat sushi at Dodger Stadium and remain sitting after home runs by the home team. Phil Rivers is still an unknown and the benifactor of the best RB in the last 15 years. "Marty's" teams always choke, says here they go down to Belichek and the Patriots.

As for you Mr. Jets fan, how dare you compare Pennington to Montana. I know Joe Montana's career and legacy. Chad Pennington, you ARE NO Joe Montana!

I added the Mets to the discussion only because you added the Yankees. Got amnesia?

Hunter: You used Montana to make an analogy of the style of QB Pennington is. Smile LOL

Kumzaman: I'm glad I provided amusement at your office today. It was not intentional...or was it? Was my stereotype of the west coast sports fan true or a myth? I have had the misfortune of watching games at Dodger Stadium and the old Jack Murphy Stadium in SD. The fans there belonged in the coroners office. Except for a few wacky Raider fans there is no passion on the west coast. Come to Philly and NY and you get knowledge and passion.
The only passion I see out there comes from the gangs in Compton.

I shall dare to enter this fray...

WW - How dare you lump all "West Coast" fans into one contingent. Your stereotype was of the SoCal fan (and it was accurate). Raiders fans are clowns - that is not true passion. If Raider fans were truly passionate, most of their home games would not be blacked out. Oh wait. Most of their fans are in prison and thus can't attend. True passion is braving the cold, foggy nights at Candlestick....

Eli Manning should not have gone higher than second round. It's unfortunate that people assumed he would be his brother. He doesn't seem to have the ability to think as quickly as needed and doesn't have the confidence. It doesn't help that he threw that little stink about not wanting to go to San Diego when he was drafted.

I fully expect Seattle to beat the Bears on Sunday. Rex Grossman has the tendency to make Eli Manning look in full possession of his wits and a great decision maker.

p.s.-as a little girl growing up in Iowa, I aspired to be a linebacker for the Oakland Raiders (and a doctor). Alas, at 5'4" and 115, I just don't cut it.

Dom: Well said. SF Giant and 49er fans are good fans. I should have limited my stereotype to LA and SD.
LA did not support the Rams or Raiders. Its a joke they don't have an NFL team, but thats because they are only interested in out dueling each other with fancy expensive cars.

i'll get to your previous post later tonight, there are some truths to what you said but also some fabrications, like most stereotypes... you lecture a Californian for commenting on the Giants yet you are all knowing about SoCal sports! ha! Roll Eyes i'll give the East Coast passion, but more knowledgable!!! your knowledge is blinded by your passion... HAHA!

LA DID support the Raiders, and only followed the Rams... as someone relatively young, I was raised to hate Al Davis & Georgia Frontiere (as do most Angelinos') so my family followed College Football here in the southland. they threatend to leave and did, LA could care less. and let me let you in on a liitle clue - LA doesn't care we don't have an NFL team, it's the $$$ hungry league that wants an NFL team here. we have USC Razz and thats coming from a UCLA fan!

Al Davis reminds me of Mr. Burns on the Simpsons only with bad track suits and glasses. He is a bad man.

Kumazan,
Very good observation...true indeed.
No, I am not all knowing about So Cal. I have though known a few people from the area and they are all phonies to the core. I'm not saying that you are, just my experience. Two of the females I speak of are identical to some of the females in that reality show "The real
