Davidson always presents problems in the dance. They are one of those teams that get an 11-14 seed that nobody wants to play.

Too bad Love didn't stay home Wink

No offense taken; in fact, I totally agree with you. The team has so much talent and in plenty of their games they've played at a level indicative of that talent. Problem is that they make so many stupid mistakes and/or they'll play well for three quarters and then crater in the fourth quarter. Do that and you're going to end up with a mediocre record at best

Will we see another perfect game from B. Taylor? Only time will tell!

Huge indeed! The team needs to play the ENTIRE game, not build just build up an early lead and try to hold on.

Go Ducks!

Trying to find tickets to tomorrow nights game. Last home appearance for a soid group of seniors, and my wife and I are looking forward to sending them off the right way.

We did the same at Autzen this year during the civil war, and it was more emotional than I thought it would be. I got choked up seeing Dennis Dixon run out there, and I figured I'd try to play it off so my wife wouldn't notice. I brushed it off and looked over at my wife and she was balling her eyes out.

You gotta love the magic of sports.

Crazy game last night...Bruins puleld itout. Hill's block on Collison at the end of the game was clean...too bad so sad. In any case, good tosee the Bruins fight back and win. They have a tendency to get down early that I don't like. Collison needs o stop waiting for the 2nd half to take over games. I'd liek to see his split over the halves..it isnt uncommon for him to have the goose egg in the frist and then throw up 18 in the second.

I have been saying it all along, Stanford is tough. Both of the Lopez twins will be playing at the next level. When I filloutmy brackets, I' have them going to the great 8 for sure.

Dissappointed that Shipp is still slumping (1-9)..we'll need him to make a run at the title.

Arizona/ Oregon shoudl be a great game-both desperately need the win to support their claim for the tourney..personally I think they should both be in but we'll see.

UNC/Duke- blech...ESPN makes me want to puke. I still don't think Duke is a contender..they are a nice team but when push comes to shove in the tiournament, their lack of size will come back to haunt them. I think UNC pulls away and wins by 10.

There is no bigger game in college basketball then UNC & Duke! Espn has it on lock down, and I wouldn't want it any other way. You want those cheesy FSN broadcaters covering that one?

ESPN telecasts are defineitly better than Fox- I wish the Pac 10 was on ESPN- but Duke/UNCplay 2 x year, every year, and they o through thesame thing every time.It isa great game, but c'mon, I don't need a week of hype going back through every matchup for the last 20 years.

I was looking forward to watching the UCLA v Stanford game all week. The only problem for me was that it started @ 11:00 EST which is around my bed time. I decided to try to stay up and watch the game anyway. I fell asleep about 10 minutes into the game with Stanford leading by about 8. When I woke up, the game was over.

No kidding. Bruins were definitely the beneficiaries of some bad calls. Their propensity to get behind makes me nervous...I am hoping Shipp's shot gets his swagger back. As badas it was to watch him miss open looks,it was worse to see him pass them up completely.

Ducks are still on the bubble..need at least 2 wins to lock a spot in the tourney.

Stanford's loss to USC was a hangover...still look for them to be strong. USC could surprise some people- they play some good D..then again, they may lose in the first round (ok 2nd).

So who gets the third #1..Tennessee or Kansas? My $ is on Kansas

I assume you are you mean NC, Memphis and UCLA for the first 3 seeds. Tenn will be #4 if they win the SEC tourney. The first 3 are locks already.

Yep- that's what I meant. Agree if Tenn wins they are likely to get it but if Kansas also wins, it'll be close. In the end the seeding is much less impaortant than the region. I'd take a 4 seed in the West (for UCLA) over a 1 seed in the East.

Should be interesting how UCLA fares in the Pac 10 tourney..two years ago they blew everybody out and really got rolling for their first run. Last year they won the Pac 10 reg season outright, then lost to Washington and Cal in the first round. I'd like to see them really get rolling but am not concenred either way. I think their first round game will be against Arizona (assuming they beat Oregon State)- that will be really tough- Arizona will essentially be playing to get in the tourney.

Pac 10 honors came out...Love was POY. Also first team All-American in the Sporting News...guess we can only enjoy him this year. Disappointed ot see Collison as 2nd team...he is a better player (at least in college) than Mayo who made first team. Westbrook was Pac 10 defensive player of the year- just great. I hope he stays around for one more year. I feel bad for the top perimeter player for any team that gets UCLA in the tourney- some pretty good players had their worst games of the year with Westbrook on them (Mayo, Curry, etc).

EDIT- Got the Pac 10 touney wrong..UCLA will play winner of Cal/ Washington and then winner of USC/ASU. AZwill have to play OSU, then Stanford. If they win those two I think they are in.

Great time of year. I'll be taking long lunches at the sports bar to catch as much of the ACC Tourney as possible.

Agree that DSPN (the dook network) overhypes the UNC-dook game, but it is always one heck of a game. It is rare to see such an intense game played at such a high level. It really is a special rivalry. Best in sports, in my biased opinion.

Pac 10 and ACC Tourneys should be great this year.

Feel like I am talking to myself here ..why so much passionabout NFL, ML etc?? NCAAB is where it is at.

OK, I am biased, but I am more and more impressed with my bruins. They beat a tough Stanford team for the 3rd time this year without Mbah Moute, with Love being injured & having argueably his worst game of the year, AND unusually abyssmal free throw shooting. They are the real deal- inside, outside, they have it all. Shipp is back to being a slasher
instead of a spot up 3 point shooter and Collison is the best point guard in the country bar none. The combination of Collison & Westbrook is the quickest guard tandem in the country. You need to be healthy and a little lucky to win it all but the Bruins are the team to beat in my mind.

I think UCLA, Stanford & USC will be in the final 8...

UCLA is where my $$ is jgreen. I cant agree more with your assessment on Collison, if he stays healthy they will be tough to beat in my opinion.

Collison was a monster yesterday...

Brackets are out and it looks like UCLA has a very favorable bracket. The only worry here is the second seeded Duke...

Oregon is in the dance, and a not-too-shabby 9th seed. They may not last long (hope I'm wrong) but for them to get in and get a halfway decent seed is worthy of celebration here.

Go Ducks!
