If any team can go undefeated it will be Memphis. They looked awfully strong against Georgetown. Pretty soon Memphis will start their weak Conference USA schedule and their chances of getting beaten will greatly decrease. However, Tom Penders does have Houston looking good so there could be a surprise.

Memphis still has Arizona, Gonzaga and Tennessee to play in addition to their conference so they don't have a complete cakewalk.

Memphis, Tennessee and Vandy in the top 6 RPI Poll-not bad for the state.

Bruins looked strong against Standford on the road last night. Road wins in the Pac 10 are going to be tough this year (see USC, Oregon). Collison still doesnt look recovered fromt he knee injury- uncharacteristicalyl he is gettign beat off the dribble and looks a bit indecisive on his drives. Westbrook is awesome- talk about someone on no one's radar...right now he is their best all around player. I liked Love's intensity- fouled out both the Lopez twins.

Cal is going to be tough...Anderson is a match up nightmare and Hardin is big and athletic. With that said, I still like my bruins.

Memphis has Gonzaga and Tennessee at home..their toughest road games are UAB and Houston. If they stay focused they have a great shot at going undefeated. Unfortunately they'll lose to the Bruins again in the final 4 Big Grin Wink

Nice to see the Ducks get back to their winning ways. The win against Arizona was SWEET... not to mention very timely!

PAC 10 is t-o-u-g-h this year!

My Heels stayed perfect by beating a good Clemson squad at their place in OT. A good gut check game where they had to come from behind to win.

I was glad to see the bruins show the heart to come back. I can't wait until Collison, Roll & keefe are healthy and back to playing condition. Look out.

(sorry, I have been off the boards for some time)

Yes, the UCLA game was painful to watch, but I think MSU learned more from that game that will help them down the stretch. UCLA beats MSU, Texas beats UCLA, MSU beats Texas. It should be a fun tournament this year.

Now only 5 undefeated teams left-Memphis, UNC, Vandy, Kansas and WA State. TN barely beat previously undefeated Ole Miss.

Nice win for TN. Memphis' schedule is ridiculous (no fault of their own- their league stinks). They will defienityl have the best record going into the tournament but I thinkt he fact they dont play agaonst good competiton week in and wekk out will hurt them int he tourney.

I look for WA St to come of your list on Saturday (assuming they get past USC). The only thing that concerns me at all is the time of the game...UCLA always seems to be sluggish in the first half of early games. They should be fired up though.

bump...where the heck are all of the college basketball fans?

UCLA looking strong...made WA St look really bad for 38 minutes. I have never seen a 3 point barrage liek that- 7 3's in 1:30...crazy.

Georgia Tech put in a gallant effort against UNC last night and almost knocked them off. It was a great game.

Tech played great last night. Carolina is lucky to have won.

I'm a huge Heels fan, but I do not think they will win it all unless they get a little bit meaner, esp. on D.

I hate trash talk, showboating, etc., but I do like hard-nosed guys who have a bit of a nasty streak, like the Georgetown teams of old.

By the way, UCLA and Kansas look great. If I am not mistaken, Collison was not highly ranked coming out of high school. Perhaps Westbrook wasn't either, but I'm not sure. Heckofa recruiting job finding those guys.

Yep, Howland is a great recruiter. Farmar was a big name but Afflalo wasnt a huge prospect. Westbrook was a last minute add when Farmar went pro. Colllison is finally getting healthy, but Westbrook is a beast. Did you guys see that dunk against Cal...yikes! Hope we bury the University of Spoiled Children this weekend.

I stumbled across a several year old post on the UCLA boards where the poster was lamenting the fact that UCLA's recruiting was terrible ... all they had coming to UCLA at that point was some "nobody" named "Collison."

Yikes.

After watching Tenn solidly beat Vandy I know that Vandy is only the 3rd best team In TN. I'm a Memphis fan but Tenn may be the best team in the state. They look like final 4 to me.

UGH- I hate those damn Trojans... and at Pauley.

Howland said it in the press conference, UCLA looked uncharacteristically emotional and made some bad mistakes/ turnovers. Although Westbrook palyed decent D on MAyo, this was by far his worst offensive game. 2-11 shooting, 5 TO's. Also, the part that really hurt was not having Mbah Moute for the entire 2nd half. I think he would've been guarding Jefferson who just went off..Aboya was just too slow too keep up with him- Luc is more athletic.

With all of that said, how the heck did SC shoot 60+%? Just crazy...

I was counting on big things from the Vols this season also and in spite of them losing last night to Kentucky, I still am. If it weren’t for Bruce Pearl, Tennessee would be a team that I would like to see do well in the tournament this year. Memphis and Tennessee are both solid enough that each could make the final 4.
