scary how much depth this team has, even moreso then the 94-95 team that won the NCAA title... Love has all the potential in the world, and even though he's listed at C, i wouldnt be surprised to see Howland interchange him @ PF w/ Mata playing C early on while he learns the defense, either way with Mbah a Moute it's an imposing front court and with Collison & Shipp in the backcourt... OJ who? Mayonnaise? Simpson? (kidding, kid will be a star but UCLA will have more glory)

JGreen! I'm a fellow Bruin fan, and I'm moving to Chico in January or February. I'll buy you a drink!

Since the football season could go from marginal to disasterous in the next few weeks, thank god for basketball. My (basketball) Spartans look pretty good this year. GO GREEN!!!

You like the bruins and wine, in my book that makes you top notch. Let me know when you arrive and we'll share a bottle!

The coaches voted my Heels to start the season #1. Hope they're right! The football season hasn't gone so well with my Noles.

As a U of A Wildcat fan (#12 preseason), I cannot wait for Basketball season to start! Hopefully this year we can improve our Point Guard Play, and make it past the 1st round of the big dance!!! I also hope the Pac-10 can live up to the hype of 6 teams in the Top 25!

You guys beat me to it starting this thread, but thanks for getting it up.
This should be another great year. I have not studied the teams well, but obviously UNC, UCLA, Kansas and Georgetown all have good teams that could experience that "one shining moment".
The Gators will be better than everyone thinks, but making the tourney could be a good year. My other school, Davidson, could be one of those mid-majors that give people problems. Stephen Curry is a big time player. My son's school, Wake Forest, is waiting for their good recruiting class to hit campus next season.

UNC dodged a bullet tonight, barely beating a very pesky Davidson team. I was scared the season was going to start for UNC like it did for Michigan in football.

Can't wait to see the suffocating defense with Love and Mata-Real in the middle and Mbah Moute playing the 3. Collison is going to be a nightmare for any PG their schedule now. Trying to figure out which team they play will be first to only score single digits in a half.
Also, I think Westbrook is going to be a pleasant surprise off the bench and Roll is going to light it up from 3 with teams doubling down on Love.
Oh yeah, that Shipp guy ain't bad either.
Go Bruins!
this thread should be renamed to "the official bruins championship season"...

Nah, I don't think so. Spartans will be a force in the tournament this year.

See, there's one more person who gets Michigan and Michigan State mixed up!

theres no shame in losing to an undefeated Top 10 team by 2, even at home... but it was defeating to see them down by 16, at home, at one point btw, i dont see you cheering anyone PH... pretty easy to be part of the backseat jeerings squad

i wouldn't worry too much. they lost to west virginia at home last year...they'll come around come tourny time. btw a fun fact i saw a few years ago, UCLA has always won the national title if they were ranked first at the beginning of the season.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...fortunately no one will go undefeated. Not to make excuses (ok I am), you have to remember that this was Collison's 2nd game back after being off for 3 weeks and the first time they used that starting line up. Roll also played a bit (he looked rusty). Texas played great (although Augustin's heave toward the hoop as he fell out of bounds turning into an alley oop makes me want to puke)...but give the bruins a month or two to get some practices under the belt with the full team and bring Keefe back and I'll give you Texas and 10 points. I was a little concerned about Davidson this weekend but after the Bruin's loss at home to Texas, I just feel bad for them. I expect a huge game from Love...I am going to say 22 points and 15 rebounds.
