Just saw that. 15 years to life. At first I thought, "That sounds harsh for what I've heard about the incident," and then I couldn't help but to think, "Dude, this is karma."

Wow, I didn’t think he would get near that much time!
Quote from CNN.com: “The jury of nine men and three women, none of them African-American, reached its verdict after 13 hours of deliberations Friday” Did we really need the African-American comment? So lame. “What is the soup du jour?"...It’s the soup of the day..."Mmmm, that sounds good, I’ll have that” - Lloyd Christmas |

So how long is the sentence?
Edit: I guess the sentencing comes at a later time? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Sticky2, |

Correct; he won't be sentenced until early December (the 5th, I believe). The critical issue in the heavy sentence is that he was found guilty on all 12 counts, including kidnapping and armed burglary/robbery (I forget which they used to describe the incident).

My thoughts are with the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown. This conviction must cause terrible thoughts and emotions to resurface. What a terrible tragedy...

Gig, while I understand, I think they feel much better today than they did yesterday. |

Sure, but a very, very bittersweet moment indeed. I can't imagine the pain they have endured while this subhuman has escaped justice all this time. I hope that they can finally have some closure as a result of this conviction. Haha.
After a few weeks, his fellow prisoners will redefine "The Juice is Loose" |

I'm going to remain silence on whether or not this is "justice" until I see what sentence he gets.
Unfortunately, the ultimate penalty is off the table. It would be nice to strap him to an electric chair or a medical table and give him the "Juice". -------------------- "One may dislike carrots, spinach, beetroot, or the skin on hot milk. Unfortunately, yes we did. There was so much talk last time about race on the jury last time and it appeares to be significant this time too: Simpson's attorneys pledged to appeal. His longtime lawyer, Yale Galanter, cited jury selection as one basis for a new trial. The defense has charged that prosecutors purposefully excluded African Americans. http://scmwine.wikispaces.com http://scmwine.blogspot.com http://blogs.sun.com/davetong http://twitter.com/davetong |

From BBC regarding the first trial:
An ABC news poll showed that 83 per cent of blacks agreed with the verdict, compared with just 37 per cent of whites. It's a real shame that that trial took on a racial overtone because the crime had nothing at all to do with race, nor did the prior calls to the police about his behavior. But his defense included the stunningly stupid prosecutor, Marsha Clark, and the incompetent Lance Ito who lost control of the clowns in his courtroom. The judge here seems to have been off base a little too, because the jury make-up is a decent appeal for him. And then it will again bring up a whole new race overtone because in spite of the damage it does to society, doing so might possibly help this one moronic individual. This message has been edited. I don't think I understand all the vindictiveness in some of these comments.

Yes. Unfortunately he played for the Bills. Another reason he should get the death penalty. -------------------- "One may dislike carrots, spinach, beetroot, or the skin on hot milk. But not wine. It is like hating the air that one breathes, since each is equally indispensable." Marcel Ayme` |
