Was her reaction to John Edwards's affair stronger than her reaction to her husband's affairS?????? The Clintons are still married so I guess she is okay with Bill.
Would love to hear her actually speak out on this topic as it would create political fodder for years to come.
McCain started his relationship with his current wife, Cindy in 1979. His divorce was final from the 1st Mrs. McCain in 1980. Appropriately, former Sen. Gary Hart was a groomsman at McCain's second marriage.
But, this does kill Edwards' chances of being Atty Gen'l.
This definately sucks. I'm soooooo glad that Edwards didn't lock up the nomination. He would have torpedoed the democratic party for years to come. How arrogant of him to have this affair two years ago, then run for office! Very prudent for Obama to take his time in declaring a running mate.

Don't confuse the issue. This doesn't say anything about the Democratic party integrity. It says something about John Edwards'.

Please read my post again. I refer to Edwards as the symbol, not the party. I believe that there are plenty of high-integrity men and wommen in the Democratic party. JE was previously one of them.

Chile, I don't know if politicians necc. have less integrity than your average, relatively unknown stiff (folks like most of us). Their various escapades are just much more visible. There remain the vast majority of politicians who are not cheating on their spouses (that we know of), or other such hijinks and chicanery.

There remain the vast majority of politicians who are not cheating on their spouses (that we know of), or other such hijinks and chicanery.
To some extent you are correct, but I'd argue that the only way to raise the funds to get elected and continue to get elected requires one to lose any integrity they might have ever had! Might not be cheating on their spouses..but they are all whores!!

For everyone who likes to hoot and whistle (or toss the first stone) when a politician from the opposite side gets caught cheating, Dem or GOP, I suggest they cast their vote for the Fidelity Party. What? There's no such party? Imagine that.
