I have smoked some cigars that have aged for years. It was a Cohiba, not sure the size, but it brought tears to my eyes....in a good way! Big Grin

I have a friend who ages is stogies. But unlike wine, you really do have to periodically rotate the cigars. What happens, as you all may already know, is that the humidity in the stogie itself actually become a little great on the down side versus the upside. And what happens is that you get an uneven burn. But as far as flavour, the cigar mellow out a bit. Even the spicier brands turn just a little softer. If kept well, side by side you'll know when you're smoking an aged cigar.

Thanks Mezzo. I rarely smoke cigars in the winter so I have to get my fill in the summer. Smile

Ha! Just the opposite here. The winter, fall and spring work well, but too darn hot to sit outside in the summer. Wink

I'd much rather smoke in 110 degree heat than 3 feet of snow and -20 degree cold!! Eek

What is that? Confused

I have seen it several times on vacation, but never in Dallas.

Winter in Dallas, put on my favorite sweatshirt and enjoy the 52 degree day. Smile

I had a nice Cohiba Siglo I on Sunday. Initially I cut out a bullet hole but found it a little too spicy on the draw. So a quarter of the way in, I cut the tip off and the extra air really made a difference (for me). A nice 90 minute smoke.

Golfing and smoking cigars on a Tuesday? Must be good to be kumazam! Any chance you're detouring through Seattle for an offline?

Cheers!

Great cigar. If you can let them age they will get even better.

Q3 is in the books ! Thank god. A cigar will be smoked today and probably tomorrow.

Had one of my twice-yearly cigars last night: Monte Cristo #2, with a couple of glasses of 1990 Fonseca LBV Port.

The cigar was way better than the Port, and as much as I enjoyed it at the time, I can still taste now, even after a couple of espressos. I'm not so keen on that aspect of cigar smoking.

Seaquam,

I agree on the next day still being able to taste the cigar. It's the one thing that keeps me from smoking cigars more often.
