HUGE, HUGE Cristiano Ronaldo fan here. I think he is jaw dropping amazing. Obviously I'm the Man U fan.

I think United will win. As for the complaints against Ronaldo, yes, he babies it up too much. He'd actually get more calls if he stopped whining.

So glad to see that ass Ronaldo not score in the shootout- blatantly illegal kick. It was in general a good game , however Michel let things get out of hand. he should have given some yellows for dissent. I do feel a little bad for John Terry, what a time to slip. I have always liked Van der Sar so the outcome was okay with me, just would have been better if whiner boys miss had cost Man U.

I couldn't agree more. That's the scenario you dream about your entire life.

Hey now, let's get back on topic. This is a Serie A thread. Razz

We should start another thread for general football talk since the Euro is coming up in just a couple weeks and there will be lots of interesting stuff going on in the transfer market this summer (including maybe Mourinho to Inter and Mancini to Chelsea?)

Good idea. I started one over on Wino Depot simply called "Futbol". We post all matches in there.

I would watch A/C Milan if Drogba was on the team.

Bah, why would you watch Milan for Drogba? Looking for more pictures of him listening to an iPod, slapping players, or getting into fights on the pitch with his own teammates? I mean, aren't there daily afternoon soap operas for that kind of stuff?

Let me get this straight Purple, you dislike Gattuso, the hardest working, most honest midfield there is. Yet you like the crybaby, dive master, pretty boy Ronaldo? You and I have completely different views on the game. And you seemed so reasonable when we spoke in Chicago. Smile

I guess I like my men tall, dark, fast ,whiney and scoring lots of goals!

Gattuso is the type of guy that sticks his leg out to trip Ronaldo as he speeds by.

Ronald is quite a show and graceful, great passer, quickly gets the ball upfield. Did I mention he is fast.

Drogba has a great strong, physical presence on the field. Strong enough to whip past the defense.

Gattuso is good for learning new hand signs that I'm sure will be useful in Italy Eek

What is Kaka going to do with Drogba?

What do y'all think of Amauri with Palermo or soon to be with Juve or god knows who this next year?

Milan have signed Gianluca Zambrotta from Barca. Next year will be better for sure. The only signing of note for the other big teams is Amauri going to Juve, which is not going to help them. Next year it will be Milan, Roma, Fiorentina, Inter. Remember you heard it here first.

Bolongna have joined Chievo Verona back in Serie A. The playoff for the final spot will be between Lecce, Pisa, Brescia and Albinoleffe.

So Inter have signed Jose Mourinho, as if I didn't already have enough reasons to hate them.

Paolo Maldini has signed on to play one more season. Hopefully Milan can get their act together and one of the all time greats goes out a winner. Purple you must like him, right. Wink

Less then two weeks to the start of the new season. I for one can't wait, this years Milan team will be much improved. As shown by their 4-1 thrashing of evil Juve in the Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi, right Futronic. Big Grin I am sorry to see Chiellini go down though, it is sad to see any injury in a friendly. My pick for this year Milan, Roma, Inter, Juve. Of course my pick for first every year is the Rossoneri. Wink

I didn't know Italy played soccer. Maybe I'll try to catch a game while I'm in Italy in October. Razz

Shevchenko is back at Milan. I will take a wait and see approach, but I'm not expecting the old Sheve. Well actually I'm afraid Sheve is old. My main question is where are all these strikers going to play? And why haven't they signed a central defender? Milan is building a team like Madrid did a few years ago. A bunch of overage primadonnas and no defense. I had high hopes for this season but am now starting to worry. If Ancelotti can manage to win and to keep everybody happy he's a genius.

Wow, I am actually more excited to see AC Milan than VT2IT? Barring injury during this upcoming season, it will be interesting to watch how AC Milan does with all these interesting transfers.
Whereas Inter didn't do anything with transfers from what I know.
Manchester United is looking for a striker, send one our way.

Berbatov is on his way.

I'll comment on the upcoming Serie A season when I get a minute. That said, I can't wait to tell VT2IT that he's clearly on something if he thinks that Milan will win the Scudetto. You realize that people pay a lot of money for whatever it is you're taking (bribes included, Mr. Berlusconi!).

Futronic I did pick Milan to win the Scudetto, but I also said as a fan I always do. It was more of a wish than an actual pick. As I said in my prior post I have serious worries about the make up of the team this season. The only thing that I do know is that they will finish ahead of those cheaters from Turin whom you follow.
