Sarah Maclaughlin (from BC,canada)--she is the best female singer to date, ... in my opinion...one just has to buy her concert DVD. Oh and what was mentioned several times before-->Michael Buble (also from vancouver,bc,canada) is also excellent. Hmmmmm,.... seems like canada puts out some fantastic talent (colin james, ciline dion, jay semko (and the northern pikes---->personally my favourite,... since he is my cousin)and so on....

I took my daughter to Buble's concert when he was in Seattle last month. Man, that guy puts on a great show! Worth every penny! By my count, he sang part or all of 22 songs. There were a number of his close relatives from Burnaby in the audience, as well.

In addition to the ones I mentioned in my first two posts, here are some of my other favorites.
Pretenders - Loose in LA Tom Petty - High Grass Dogs great set, but really crappy video (seen live) Steve Winwood - SoundStage (mostly Traffic stuff) (seen live) Chicago & Earth Wind & Fire - really for the EWF stuff (saw the joint tour live & EWF live) Seal in Paris Bruce Springsteen - Live in NYC (seen live) Simply Red - A Starry Night Jimi Plays Berkley (better than the Woodstock disc) Jet Family Style

Finally got a chance to watch the new U2 Popmart Live from Mexico City DVD after buying it two weeks ago. Not as good as U2 Goes Home, but probably their second best DVD. I was blown away by the performance of Please. Worth the purchase price for that song alone.

Someone posted this video on YouTube last year. Audio is horrible, but man, can he play...

Forgot to mention I picked up Tom Petty's new DVD Runnin Down a Dream last month which is a 3 disc set plus a CD. One DVD is the 30th Anniversary concert in his hometown, Gainesville, FL, and 2 discs are a very well done documentary (with good performances thrown in). Only sold at Best Buy and is a great deal at $25 (I got a $10 GC back, but don't think that's running now). Highly recommended for the Tom Petty fans out there as it is much better than his other DVD's. The PBS show Soundstage is showing the Gainesville concert (in HD and Surround) in two parts over the next two weeks which is what reminded me to post this. Check it out.

Pink Floyd - Pulse Eagles - Hell Freezes Over Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same (dont know if it would totally fall into this category but you have to put it up there) Pink Floyd - The Wall Live in Berlin 1990(really Roger Waters, when he did the concert in Germany and the Wall was built while the concert went on)
"You throw a rock, I'm going to throw a concrete block back"
Pulse is certainly up there. So is Roger Waters DVD, forget the name. Clapton's Crossroads festival DVD's are also excellent. Someone mentioned The Song Remains The Same. I watched that for the first time in a long time over the holidays, excellent. I have another Zep DVD though that I prefer. Not sure of the name but it's available on Netflix/Blockbuster.

The Grateful Dead Movie Talking Heads 'Stop Making Sense' Pink Floyd 'The Wall' Dave Matthews Central Park Concert (I was at the show) And because it's law; The Band's 'The Last Waltz'
I guess I do have at least five favorites...
