OK, how could KU talk trash in football? Basketball yes, but football? That's like FSU talking trash in basketball (even though we beat UF 3 of the last four and Duke 2 of the last 3). Makes no sense. "Wine is sunlight held together by water" - Galileo |

It won't matter! They play each other. If only Mizzou had a team of either caliber on its schedule. Oh..and this weekend, you'll find out that Texas doesn't even deserve to be in the Top 20. Good thing the Big12 at least has a conference Championship game. |

And talking about Rivalries...you must dislike your rival, but you don't have to dislike the people that root for your rival. Vinole and I are a perfect example |

Really? Out of the top 20? I'll save my remarks for the moment, and we'll discuss after the game. De gustibus non est disputandum. |

You beat me to it Snipes.
I've watched more NCAA football this year than any other. I am confident that the Big 12 is stronger than the SEC this year. I realize we don't have to play powerhouses like Ol' Miss and Kentucky, but we are pretty good. The Big 12 South has at least 3 teams that could compete with the top of the SEC this year. Rule One: Obey all rules! Second, do not write on the walls...as it takes a lot of work...to erase writing...off of walls." |

I'm saying 2 right now. Only OU and MO have even played a worthy opponent. No secret that since the Big 12 puts all their powder puffs at the beginning of the schedule (4 games) that its no wonder there are (5), 5-0 teams. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Chilepepper, |

Powder puffs like North Texas, Appalacian State, and Western Kentucky?
And as it turns out, Illinois hasn't been such a powder puff the past couple of years. I guess if they played Tulane they'd get more respect. Can't you SEC boys give us one year? Rule One: Obey all rules! Second, do not write on the walls...as it takes a lot of work...to erase writing...off of walls." |

I gave MO credit for the IL game...why I said at least OU and MO have played a worth opponent and beat them. I'm not gonna defend LSU's schedule since it's pretty weak..but again, they've played a worthy opponent. Alabama on the other hand has taken care of Clemson and GA, so I really don't care if Western Kentucky was thrown in there. I'm disgusted like most of the non-conference schedules primarily of SEC west teams..because they many years don't even schedule 1 BCS conference team. The SEC East has some natural out of conference rivals and thus they at least have that 1 game..but all too often the Big 12 is just as bad as the LSU's. In short, what I'm saying is that I have no idea how you know if TT, TX or Ok St are any good. I'm also quite sure that KS isn't all that good. |

I agree with you that Kansas is not a great team. They are just good enough to beat any team on a good day. I think they are on par with Auburn.
I think we will see just how good Missouri, Ok State, Oklahoma and Texas are this week. The two winners from those games will be unquestionably top five teams. TT will have to prove themselves late in the season when they play Kansas, Tx, OK State and OU in a row. If LSU beats Florida this week they should jump Alabama, no matter how well Alabama plays. And Vandy should win again - 6-0! One thing is sure, I won't get much done on Saturday. Rule One: Obey all rules! Second, do not write on the walls...as it takes a lot of work...to erase writing...off of walls." |

Now that my Iowa Hawkeyes are dead I'll be rooting for Missouri the rest of the year. What a great year for college football. Much more interesting than the NFL.

Missouri, OU, and Texas are already ranked in the top 5 with OSU ranked 17th, a huge jump should OSU pull out a win. Regardless of early schedules, it is now time for the elites in each conference to start beating up on each other. Looking forward to seeing who is truly top 5 worthy. |

OU v Texas shaping up for a thriller of a second half. I don't see how Texas can have absolutely no running game and make it through the season w/o that biting them.

I can't believe you'd make such a statement. After all, the NFL team you support provides non-stop entertainment, mostly off of the field. I was feeling pretty bad for OU getting hosed on their INT in the end zone UNTIL that complete acting job by the OU punter that the officals bought. He should win an ESPY for best acting performance.
