I was at the FSU-UM game tonight and endured downpours thoughout the game and particularly at the end. I really like UM's new home at Dolphin stadium. My alma maters have made them 0-2 in their start there in the last two games. Cool

USC is looking good at this point and Mizzou is solid so far.

Looks like I missed a wild finish. I switched away at 24-3.

59 seconds is nothing....back in the Fun'n'gun era I saw many drives of 40 seconds or less. I'm starting to long for those days Frown

17 frickin points against Arkansas through 3 quarters is worrisome.

Note to Urban Meyer - LSU knows Tebow is going to carry the ball up the middle on 3rd & 2. Try something else next week for crissakes.

Careful Chile, you could have little Mackie Brown as a coach. Razz

You have a point there! Big Grin I do love Meyer as coach...don't get me wrong, but I don't know why we seem so predictable this year on offense when we have all these athletes.

If it continues though, I'm gonna wonder why we didn't just double Stoop's salary to entice him away from OU.

My Northern Illinois Huskies lost to Tennessee today but the score was 13 - 9. The game was in Knoxville and the Huskies are lousy this year. What does this say about Tennessee. Fulmer could lose his job after this season.

Aren't you glad we didn't wave that carrot back in 2002? Now, we have 2 $3 Million Coaches. Of course NC's get your raises don't they? Big Grin

'Should be a great game. Oklahoma, Texas, and Missouri may actually be three of the best five teams in the country (certainly three of the most consistent). Like last year in the SEC, allowing them to all participate in some type of championship tournament would be so much more just than the system we have now. With Florida playing LSU as well, I'm REALLY looking forward to this weekend.

Concerning M. Dildine's tirade over on Squires' board, I've never understood the phenomenon of saying that one's greatest rival sucks and ridiculing their team and fans. What does it say when they (who suck so bad) beat the $hit out of you (as OK has done so frequently to TX in the last decade)? Admittedly, Buckeye fans can be among the worst in this way, and I truly find it embarrassing. So let me say what a fine institution I believe U. of Michigan to be, and that I hope they win every game of the season... except their last. Smile

This does look like the first weekend to really sort out who is who. The ACC gets a look with Clemson coming to Wake. Then the SEC has Georgia/Tennessee (although UGA should get this one) and UF/LSU (who knows on this one). Combine that with the Red River Shootout in Big D and we have a great weekend coming up.

Although UF is in the same division, good for Vandy. It is good for college football, and all of college athletics, that some of the schools predominantly known for academics are doing well.

A true great rivalry requires it. The vicious name-calling is all part of the fun. I love to hate Kansas. And I will shout at the top of my voice, "KU Sucks" and worse. And if they beat Mizzou (heaven forbid) I will shout "KU still SUCKS!" It doesn't have to make sense. My father hated the Jayhawks. I hate the Jayhawks. And my children will hate the Jayhawks.

Talking sh*t to my KU fan buddies, and they returning the trash talk, is just part of the childish macho B.S. that makes us hardcore college sports fans. Women can't understand it, and neither can fans who lack a rivalry going back over a century.

My family comes from the part of Missouri where the Redlegs from Kansas sent their raiders to kill, rape and steal during the civil war. They sent Quantrill's raiders to burn Lawrence. I think a little harsh name-calling is a marked improvement.

How does Alabama not slip beneath LSU after that mediocre performance at Kentucky?
