In leu of the recent success of the "Art Vandelay " thread in buying and selling, and the release yesterday of Rocky Balboa, I thought there could be some interest in starting a thread dedicated to Rocky. For those of us who loved Rocky 1-3 in the 70's and 80's, this one's for you. I'll get it started.

ROCKY I - Terrific Movie, that captured you. We all know the story 3 1/2 STARS (out of 4)
ROCKY II - Excellent Movie - I may even like it better than the first. Nice twists, Rocky trying to find a job etc. Funny too and when Adrian says "There's one thing I want you to do for me.....Win!" from her hospital bed - you're ready beat up 5 guys! 3 1/2 STARS
ROCKY III - Rocky suddenly has an IQ double from the movie before and his face looks like he has been an accountant all his life. After Rocky II, the elephant man wouldn't take his looks. Mr. T was great, but the movie is too syruppy. 2 STARS
ROCKY IV - Rocky gives back a little of his IQ that he had in III. Ivan Drago kills Apollo Creed in a fight set like a broadway show. James Brown singing "living in america" WAS the best part of the movie. Rocky training in the snow in Russia was ridiculous and him showing up for the fight with a tan was even funnier. 1 1/2 STARS
ROCKY V - Too ridiculous to even comment on 0 STARS
ROCKY BALBOA (AKA Rocky 6) - When I saw the first previews, I cringed like everyone else, but people are saying it's a good movie. I'll see it after the holiday rush.
And we'll be right back with my favorite comedies of all time....after this commercial message

Note- you have to go to fourth or fifth picture.
For a moment I thought the resemblance was uncanny. Then I realized that it is canny.
In the third photo, Hunter's powerful prizefighter hand is visible, and Keith Scott is trying to sit far away from him, obviously intimidated. In the fourth photo, Hunter's hands are no longer visible but Keith is now smiling.
Coincidence??

That does it, I try not to add fuel to the fire but why is Mishy given a hard time about movie reveiws and why do you call her the breakfast sommelier?
Mishy was caught plagiarizing movie reviews from newspapers or other publications. She posted them on the ebob site as if they were her own cogent reviews in some sort of attempt for esteem. One of the posters caught her doing this and she was suspended for a month, I believe, for her plagiarism.
As for breakfast sommeliere/pest, she claims to be a sommeliere but was commonly posting here at dinner time, so by process of elimination, if she is indeed a sommeliere/pest, it is for breakfast and/or lunch.
Just one more sip.

Ha-Ha. I never knew that. That's pretty funny.
