Congrats Chicagoland on the victory over the Colts. No whining, the Bears were just better tonight. And, looks bad for the Pats, Brady's supposedly out for the season (ACL). Wild first week.

As far as Felix, this guy rocks and his smile cracks me up, everytime. Big Grin

Incredible weak 1, and the Bears looked VERY stout.

Can't wait for Monday Night.

I truly hope the rumors of Brady having a torn ACL are wrong. While the Pats hardly ever lose, it is fun to see them lose with Brady at QB because you then get to see the Pats get beat with Brady(arguably one of the greatest QBs ever).

Regardless, I hope the best for Brady.

Maybe da Bears had the williams sisters in uniform. They looked ready to kick some manning a$$ in the DSRL commercial.

Brady's confirmed out and in need of surgery. Frown Making the playoffs is going to be a tough task this year even with a weak AFC East.

Yes VT2IT I do speak English. Do you even have a team you like or is all your enjoyment derived from watching players get hurt? Go back to your European football where they fake injury all the time and 1-0 wins are real exciting games.

I hate the Patriots, but I was disappointed to hear Brady is out for the year. Brady is a good person, and you hate to see that happen to someone like that. I also enjoy seeing the Patriots lose(which is almost never) when Brady is in at QB because that makes the other teams win a truly great game.

I do hope for some miracle in that Brady will somehow make it back before the end of the season. He is one of the toughest QBs to play the game and if anyone can do it, he can. I just hate to see a legendary players like that lost for the year.

I would also not be surprised to see an emergency meeting in the NFL. The Steelers Ben Roethlisberger got banged up and could have been lost for the year and the Cowboys Tony Romo came close to being KOd for the year as well. With worse luck, the NFL could have lost the 3 best QBs in the game in the first week.

To any Patriots fans, I hate your team, but this is just a sports rivalry. My best of wishes to Tom Brady in a faster than expected recovery. I am sorry to hear about the bad news because love him or hate him, Brady is a great for the NFL on and off the field.

And, the NFL is contemplating increasing the season to 17 or 18 games! If so, I'm retraining as a physical therapist, because there will be lots of extra work to do. They already own the American sports market, put everyone over a barrel with the NFL network, and now they want to get greedy with the extra games (even if they diminish the preseason).

I'd like to join you in that hope but they're putting him on IR. Healthy or not he's out for the year now.

I do think the Pats are good enough even without him to win 9 or 10 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs but I can't see them going anywhere after that. They have the easiest schedule in the league this year so at least it'll make for some interesting viewing if Cassell can just manage the games like many other QB's do.

Is this the same type of injury Merriman is playing with? If so I just don't get that, but hey it's his knee. If I were the Chargers I'd IR him too to protect the teams future.

It was tough to watch my Raiders last night. I smartly went to bed before it really got out of hand.

Bad events from week 1: Bolts and Colts lost, Brady went out for the year (because there should be an asterisk next to any other team winning the AFC).

Good event: Raiders get destroyed!!!

Official Raider run-the-table-in-reverse count: 0-1. C'mon Raider Nation, unman up, miss some more tackles, drop some more passes, blow some more coverages, and lay down after the opening coin toss. Only 15 more games of imperfection to go!

No, actually, I'm trying to figure out why you post here. It can't have anything to do with wine. You must have mistaken this site for an adolescent chat board.

CP,

Seriously, you seem like a pretty good guy. I kind of enjoy our go-'rounds, and hope to meet you for a laugh and glass of wine/key lime pie someday. I know that we don't agree on matters of politics, social issues, and whatnot, but if you haven't been hypnotized by Board-O's supposed in-person hospitality, how can you in good conscience defend him? If Board-O has learned the Jedi mind trick, I'd love to find out his secrets.

Ok, no problemo. He's in need of help, the torches are lit and are quickly being spread among the villagers.
