It is indeed a glorious day for the northeast. It feels like Christmas in September. TS Hanna blew threw last night, and it will be a sunny day in Jersey. Too bad there aren't any local games today. Jets are playing down in Miami.

That won't be an upset. Fish over the Jets would be an upset.

Ok, FWIW, my picks for the season, open to ridicule of course, .

AFC East: Patriots
AFC North: Steelers
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Bolts (duh)

NFC East: Giants Cowboys
NFC North: Vikings
NFC South: Bucs
NFC West: Seahawks

Wild Cards: CowboysEaglesLionsSaints, Jags, JetsBrowns

AFC: Chargers overlose to the Pats
NFC: SeahawksEagles overlose to the Cowboys

Superbowl: Bolts over the Hawks!!!
(a more realistic pick is probably the Patriots over the Cowboys ) Frown Big Grin

Just a few adjustments (Provided Brady is healthy of course). I don't think any NY teams get a sniff of the post season this year. It's also driving me nuts that with all the rules about posting injuries in the NFL I can't even get the real story on Brady's foot. Guess I'll wait and see. Go Pats!

The games for week 1 at least in my area really suck. Not one good game will be televised.

Seattle at Buffalo
NY Jets at Miami
Arizona at San Fran

then the Sunday Night Game

Chicago at Indy.

I think I would rather go watch some paint dry instead of any of these games.

You been in a cave somewhere Joe? Icewino, seriously, that sucks. Even as a Pats hater, I don't want their star going down like that. Let's hope it's just a little ding.

4th and 13, and Favre chucks up a hail mary TD, WOW! Gary V, and the rest of the J-E-T-S fans may have a lot to cheer this season.

Personally I hope he's out for the year. Lots of Patsy's fans around here that will be in mourning. Razz A nice dose of comeuppance mixed with schadenfreunde. Big Grin

You're a moron VT2IT. If you get off seeing other people get hurt that's you're own sorry problem but what exactly did Brady do to deserve this in your world, his comeuppance as you put it? I'm with Indy here. I don't want to see anyone, never mind the best QB ever Razz seriously hurt. It's not good for the game and it's really not good for my winter.

Sorry Joe, didn't get your sarcasm about Icewino's love of all things Brady.

I hate the Patriots more than any other team in the NFL. However, I do not want to see Brady hurt. I hope he is back next week starting for NE. Love Brady or hate him, no matter how much he may frustrate you, he is a great QB and great QBs are fun to watch since there are not that many around.

If you want to wish something bad on someone, save it for someone who deserves it like Michael Vick.

I think you misunderstood icewino, it's not Brady who deserved a comeuppance, it is the obnoxious Patsy fans. Can you think of any? Wink

Maybe you can see where the confusion comes in. It sure seems directed at Brady, but maybe that's just me.

Way to take something out of context. How about the next sentance? It seemed quite clear to me that I wanted people like, well, um, you to suffer. Will they have to put you on Prozac the day he retires?

Oh and way to luck out a win over the hapless Chiefs.

OK, there's you're whole quote. I guess we get the cumeuppance because we always hope other people's stars get hurt for the season Confused

Still pathetic that you get joy from other people's misery but if that's what you have to hang you hat on enjoy. Must be a happy life you live. Oh and there was no luck in the chiefs win. They are hapless but the Pats D stepped it up nicely. I won't bet the farm on that though, witout Brady this season is like the Titanic. Sunk on the maiden voyage. Frown

Wow! The Panthers beat San Diego with an amazing TD pass with 2 seconds on the game clock.

And Chad needs to change his name to Ocho Stinko... I am sure he will get going but damn I could have used something out of him for my fantasy team.

early reports on ESPN: Insider reports from the Pats locker room "Matt Cassel is our QB for the remainder of the season". Not a fan of the team, but you have to hope this isn't the case.

I should've had the Patsies as my pick in Survivor Pool this week.

What was Romo thinking when he threw that interception in the end zone? It didn't hurt much against Cleveland, but a mistake like that can cost them a game against a good team.

Just one more sip.
