The Ravens and the Cardinals both won. Both are bird-mascots.
Based on this alone, I am going with the Eagles.

I can't believe the Cardinals are going to host the NFC championship game. The giants looked as bad as the vikings last week. Confused

There are 5 NFL teams with birds as mascots. 3 are alive in the championship games.

From T-Bird:

"i swear, i will hurl myself from the empire state building if they [the giants] lose. i know alot of you would love to see that happen."

Don't do it, T-Bird....(although you didn't say from the "top" of the E.S. Building, so maybe you were going to jump from the lobby, which would be much less messy).

Before the game started, I was talking with a friend and I told him I thought the Giants were the best team in the playoffs, but that the Eagles were playing the best football right now. The Eagles deserve to be in the Superbowl, as do the Ravens and the Steelers. I guess that means the Chargers will win it. Confused

Just one more sip.

Even though Cardinals are not the natural prey of Eagles, they could make a tasty snack Wink. Awesome defense by the Eagles today. Eli Manning looked like the old Eli out there today.

Woo Hoo,

Just scored tix to the game!

I love how ticketmaster did the tickets, you have to have an AZ mailing address to even buy them. Way to keep those Eagles fans at home!

Irwin, you have my email. Can you recommend a few stocks for me?

Oh, no pressure, I'm only down about 38% over the last 14 months. Wink

only 38%? That is pretty good actually.

But, as noted before, with stocks, my wife says I have the "Midas touch." Everything I touch turns into a muffler.

Actually, I have a theory. People aren't buying clothes so department stores and retail in general are down. People aren't buying cars, so auto dealers are down.
But, eventually, since things wear out, and cars get old, people will have to buy this stuff, and companies that sell these items will have good years due to large pent up demand.
Or, if this doesn't happen, we'll have a lot of naked hitchhikers.

Right, and minor surgery is on other people also.

After a 3 hour meeting with my financial guy last week, I think he clearly understands my opinion on the 38% decline.

The PA SuperBowl could well happen.
Quick trivia question:
There have only been two SuperBowls played (so far) where both teams were from the same state.
What years? What teams?

Giants /Buffalo Bills XXV 91-Bill Purcells coached the Giants
49ers /Chargers XXIV 95-A seriously lopsided game.

At least the Bolts snuck into the playoffs this year, there was no way they were going to beat the Steelers at home though. They better hope Merriman can help them create something resembling a pass rush next year or they can't hope for anything much better than another early playoff exit.

Not to worry, irwin. You're forgetting the other meaning of "hurl".

Did I miss a post? Looks like Irwin picked one game, not three Razz .

Me? I'm 2/4 (for this round Wink)

Go Eagles (have to root for someone I guess)!

So Dungy is done I see. He seems like a genuinely nice guy so I can wish him well wherever he goes from here. It will be very interesting to see what happens with the Colts next year.

Now there exists a logical place for Mike Shanahan to land.

Your share of the national debt has increased by $6,180 from 10/1 - 9/30/09. Have you told your kids and grand kids they will be paying back your share in addition to their own?

Yep. Looks like Jim Caldwell, the current asst. coach, is slated to step into the hole. Who knows? Lots of fans here want them to make a run at a fire/brimstone guy like Bill Cowher, so, we'll see.

Dungy was a great guy, and a solid coach. He did it the right way. He'll be missed here, and warmly welcomed back in Tampa.

I know everyone is as bummed as me that there are no Mannings left in the post season but fear not. I have discovered where the 2009 Manning bowl is really happening and you can see the shameless money grubbing duo in action here. Now you can get your fix so make sure you don't miss "Lick Off". You're welcome in adavance. Enjoy.

Almost forgot. Go Cardinals!!

Looks like someone forgot to tell Philly how good Fitzgerald is. If you listen close over the whining of "Get Paid" Samuel you can just about hear McNabb gasping for breath.

Fly Cardinals fly, on wings to victory!

Uh huh, Roll Eyes

No matter who wins, keep in mind, Eagles fly, er, soar, and hunt. Cardinals kind of flitter around, looking for seeds and junk on the ground.
