Finally, a nice week of NFL action: The Raiders get blanked, the Colts beat the Patriots, and my Chargers have a bye week (so it's impossible for them to lose again). It's about halfway through the season, and the Giants and Titans (surprise) are the class of the NFL, so far. Lots of parity this year; lots of chances for the right team to catch lightning in a bottle and charge into the playoffs.

Maybe if they were in a different division they would still have a shot. Getting Romo back won't fix their defense.

Lions look like they'll be getting some sweet draft picks next spring. Thanks Dallas for the trade. Roy Williams has what--two catches so far?

The Lions will just end up drafting wide receivers.

Now we can have a debate on who the worst team in the NFL is. Lions or the Raiders?

At least the Lions competed in their game.

Wayne Fontes was a TERRIBLE coach. He had some very talented teams in the 90s and never did anything. Barry Sanders never made anyone look like a genius. He did, however, make many players/coaches look like fools.

I can not believe the Dolphins. This is has been a welcome and refreshing surprise. The scary thing is that they have a legitimate chance at winning the division. They are only 1 game out of first with 5 of the last 8 games against teams with records below .500 (Seahawks, Raiders, Chiefs, Rams, and 49ers) and the remaining 3 against the division teams. They have already beaten 2 of them once. Crazy.

NFL dynasties aren't timeless? Granted this team isn't really part of that run but from 2001 until the last game of last year this was a team for the ages.

Colts are picking up steam, finally. Beat two division leaders in the past two weeks, and their first win in Pittsburgh in 40 years. Now, if the Chargers could have managed something more than a one point win over the Chiefs, I might be a little happier. Sad. Oh, well, at least they have the Colts to look forward to in two weeks (after a pissed of Steelers team crushes them next week).

I was expecting them to pound the Chiefs, especially coming off the bye and at home, winning by a missed 2 point conversion is kind of sad. The Bolts need a pair of statement games against the Steelers and Colts, if they can go in and beat an angry Steeler team in Heinz field then I might have a ray of hope for any sort of playoff success. I'm not holding my breath though.
