That would be me, I'm still here. Want to get me going already? Alright, anyone want to bet my team finishes with a better record than your team, say for a nice bottle of wine? I could use more wine like the bottle I'll be collecting from Wizzy at the end of the MLB season. You need not include a cheap ugly suit either Big Grin

I agree, the Pats will most likely finish with a better record. They will have a historic season, not lose a game, and then blow everything in a huge upset in the SuperBowl forever losing the chance for football immortality. What do you think, too crazy of a scenario?

Darn, I was thinking Chiefs. But yes Alex Smith doesn't look anywhere near an NFL qb.

Steeler fan here. I think we will make the playoffs, but our biggest weakness is our offensive line. We made some improvements at WR and added a great RB through the draft in Mendenhall and will have a dangerous running attack again. I think we can win a playoff game or two, but Cleveland looks very dangerous this year and it will be a real battle. Next year we can really hit offenive line through the draft and free agency and when that is said and done I am thinking we can have some more Super Bowl trophies in our case real soon.

As much as it pains me to say it, and putting all bias aside, the Dallas Cowboys will win it all this year. They have a very dangerous team.

My prediction for the Super Bowl is

Dallas 34
Patriots 20

Dallas will be the first to wine 6, but the Steelers will be the first to win 7 and a good chance at 8.

Not a chance; Wade Phillips is their coach.

Hey, leave my butt out of this! Mad

I'm simply stating a fact: Wade Phillips will never lead a team to a Superbowl. Just ask Norv Turner, he has the same problem. Razz

If Barry Switzer can coach a winning Super Bowl team, anyone can. All you need are about 15 to 22 Hall of Famers on the team.

Actually, at the end of his second season, he was starting to look pretty good. With the shoulder injury, who knows if he will ever get back....

fcs: we share the same plight. I am a fan as well. I assumed you were being sarcastic, since my 10-year old niece can throw a football farther than Pennington.
Sadly, I am afraid it is going to be another long season.

Yes Keen, I say we start commiserating our season with some good wines, starting now, in the preseason.

What if we just do run/screen passing plays to Ricky W and Ronnie? Manage the QB situation by throwing as little as possible.

Sounds like a great plan. A good buddy of mine and I did that last year once it was apparent that the phins were really, really bad. We would get together and cook out, watch the games and drink some wine.

In regard to your last statement, I believe that is how Dan Henning, our OC, (on the off-chance you didn't know) runs his offenses. I am sure we will see lots of Ricky and Ronnie this year. The one thing we have going for us is a young, talented OL, assuming Jake Long doesn't turn out to be the next Robert Gallery.

Hopefully Ronnie can bounce back from that nasty injury, he looked like a true game breaker through the first part of the season last year, and as I recall hearing he's a real stand up guy too.

I sure hope so. There were articles in some of the Florida newspapers today about trade rumors. I certainly hope they are just rumors. I like Ronnie a lot and think he is one the brightest spots on the team. I want to see him have a full year and show what he can really do.

Wow any love for the Giants out here. Dallas may have a tough team...they did last year also. Yet Romo can't take pressure, and that big offensive line tired big time against the Giants. Then there is T.O. who is way over due for another big blow up that disrupts the team.
