By the way, what do all the Raiders fans think about the Kiffin rumors? I do not follow Raiders football, but I think there are several other coaches that deserve to be let go before him. Scott Linehan (spelling) of the Rams, Herm Edwards of the Chiefs and Romeo Crennel should be on hotter seats than Kiffin. Just curious what you think. . .

Keeno I don't comment on rumors or innuendo, but I'll be damn pissed at Al if it happens. Indy no smartass comments please.

For the second Monday in a row, the media is making rumors to be headlines. Not really being a journalist but rather a gossip columnist. It would be great to see a journalist report the news rather than create the news.
It would be sad if Kiffin is fired. Given the circumstances, there are not many coaches who could be successful and the Raiders have tried quite a few lately. Other than the defensive co-ordinator Ryan who was interviewed for the position the last time around, who else would want this job?
What I saw Sunday was that the Raiders played hard and were in the game till the end on the road against a good team. Yes, they made some mistakes but that is to be expected with a young team with a young coach. The Raiders did lose but they did not quit.

Juicy- Kiffin's clock management in the 4th quarter was atrocious. And don't get me started on Ryan's defensive schemes.

I agree. You can look at any Sunday during the season and find clock management miscues. Do you fire a young coach with less than 20 games experience knowing full well when you hired him that there would likely be these types of mistakes? If that is the case, they should have paid Parcells whatever he wanted so he would not make ANY mistakes. But that did not happen and the Raiders have what they paid for, a young, inexperienced coach who, given time, will learn those things. Right now, the main thing is that he has the support and effort from his players. Not an easy thing to establish for a young coach. Kiffin has done more right than wrong with this team. If you want Kiffin fired, who is the replacement??????

Juicy- My issue is that Kiffin was never the right person for the job. They should have taken care of this in the offseason. Now that they are three games in, they have no other viable options. The larger problem is the Owner. Until he no longer runs the circus, this organization will not be able to move forward in a positive direction. Nine head coaches since 1987?

I do not like Dallas but they are a very scarey team. They have beat 3 good teams and played sloppy. Although nowhere near as close to sloppy as the Stillerz offensive line . When the Patriots lost Tom Brady that pretty much made Dallas the team to beat. With the talent Dallas has and when they hit their peak they might be able to do what NE just missed out on last year. Right now for the Stillerz we gotta do something about that OL. We truly have the worst OL in the NFL.

I agree. The owner is the problem and the reason there were not many coaches truly interested in the job, thus Kiffen. Will be at the game this Sunday against the Chargers. Not sure what to expect but hoping for a competitive game.

Being from Denver and atrue Raider hater, I will say the Raiders have an ownership problem. No one of any intellect will consider coming there. The jerk fired Shanahan and then screwed him out of money. A blessing for SF and then Denver.

How about another WR?
Nah, I think they'll go back to quarterbacks again. The bad tastes left by Joey Harrington, Rodney Pete, Andre Ware, etc, etc, have faded a little.

Redhawk: What do you think of Millen? I have no idea how this guy still has a job (no offense intended, just my personal opinion). Lions fans have had to tolerate a lot and this guy has not helped at all. What are your thoughts and do you think he will be fired in the near future?
Yes, I think it's time for Millen to go, but I doubt he will be canned before next season. I think they're on a "3-year" plan with Marinelli. So it won't be until about game 3 or 4 next year when they realize that it's hopeless. But even if or when they fire Millen, my hopes are still quite low. Millen hasn't been around for all 42 years of futility. But the owner has. Until the Lions get new ownership, I'm afraid they are a hopeless cause. In my opinion, they need to focus on building an offensive line. They haven't been able to run the ball for years. Why? They don't make any holes for anybody. They haven't been able to pass effectively. Why? You can't pass if the other team doesn't fear the running game. Plus, it's hard to have a passing game when your QB gets knocked on his a$$ every down, even on a 3-step drop. If they ever get a functional O-line, then they can work on shoring up a very porous Defense. It's hard to beat anybody when you're giving up 31 points a game. If I'm lucky, my grandkids will live to see the day when the Lions actually win a playoff game. I think a Lions Super-bowl victory will never happen, as the Sun only has so many years left before it burns out. Oddly, Lions fans are ever hopeful, and for some reason, they still fill the stadium on Sundays. I can't explain it.

I will be grateful if it's only 20 steps. But then again, these are my Lions. I don't think they could overcome a 4-step process.

I believe the answer might be "yes". Unfortunaltely, I KNOW the answer is "yes" for my Lions. <-- note the sad face is wearing Lions colors.

Similar dream but I have Charmane Starr picking me up and we are not going to work. While I am still dreaming, let's say Raiders by 3 hoping that the defense can play a complete game this time. The fourth quarter in Buffalo was brutal.

The good news for you guys on the west coast is that Millen is now available should the Raiders want him back.
