Just the other day, I was having a bite and a beer at the Barking Dog Alehouse near my house. I often order the Boundary Bay IPA but, to my dismay, they didn't have it on tap. A friend of mine recommended the replacement for the time: Racer 5 IPA. Holy hoppy goodness, what a fantastic IPA! Has anyone had it? Where's the brewery? Highly recommended.

Cheers!

Ahh, the Barking Dog. Fantastic pub! Great food and awesome beer selection.

The Race 5 is great IPA. Their brewery (Bear Republic) is actually down in Healdsburg. We stumbled across it on our last Sonoma trip. After a a couple of days of tasting, it was nice to refresh the palate with a burger and beer!

I've had it a few times. I think I still prefer the Stone by a hair but a good IPA for sure.

Been to Bear Republic in downtown Healdsburg a few times, highly recommend a visit. Actually had a couple Racer 5 pints while bowling in nearby Windsor last Thursday.

If you like IPA seek out Dogfish Head. They make a 60 minute which is fantastic. A 90 minute which is my favorite beer, and a 120 minute which I can't afford.

Thanks for the reco, Bosis. I'll definitely do that. Are they Oregon? In any case, every IPA I have is compared to Boundary Bay IPA: they've set my high water mark at this point.

Cheers!

Dogfish Head are Deleware. Their 90 minute is my personal favorite in their lineup.

One of my new favorites since my neighbor recently introduced me to Racer 5.
