Surely Tomko has a much shorter contract and much less expensive. MUCH easier NOT to pitch Tomko than NOT to pitch Zito giving some time for some of the so-called promising prospects.

lol His younger brother sometimes posts over on the ESPN baseball board for whatever team he plays for....I think it got him in some trouble when he was a Padre the last time.

No, I don't think anyone wants Tomko right now. I always thought he could be a good reliever because he throws 95+.....he doesn't seem to want to go that way though.
