Looking for winery tastings that include small food tastes. Or reserve tastings in wine caves. We'll be in Napa & Sonoma Mon 11/5 - Sun 11/11, driving distances is no problem. Any winery having a special lunch or dinner would be great as well(to get in, would consider joining a wine club depending on the winery). Interested in Chardonnay and Cabs, Pinot and Syrah could work too.

Know of wine tastings at Rudd, Jordan Winery, and J Vineyards...any thoughts? We've done Schramsberg, Del Dotto, and Terra Valentine in the past.

Are you interested in a more formal tasting or casual one on one with the winemaker/owner ?

Are you interested in finding new wines to buy or just visiting to taste ?

Ladera and Pine Ridge conduct their tastings in caves, and Pine Ridge also gives you a little food. Others will take you to their caves, but don't taste there.

The J Vineyard wine/food pairing is nice.

Usually pack our own treats.

Good olive oil at B.R. Cohn.

Miner wines offers a grand cru tasting in their caves that includes small bites to match the wines.
Advance booking is required of course. If you schedule ask for Jaime and tell him Brad sent you.

Rudd- they serve some nice chesses and other items with the tasting (we tasted 05 Sav Blanc, 05 Crossroads Chard, 04 Crossraods cab & 04 Proprietary) and the tour includes their wine caves. It was fun to see Mr Rudd's personal cellar within the cave.

Not if it is excatly what you are looking for but was a great experience. A bit pricey at about $60/ person...appts only
