Other than that we'll schedule some weekend trips here and there. We now have many people to see in Dallas.

Gah. This list makes me sad. It's my worst travel year in a long time.

Why in Boulder? Something cool going on I don't know about?

Not really. My husband and a friend/teammate are cyclists and they wanted to get some hill training in during the summer. Since I am good friends with the teammates wife and we both like to eat and drink, we decided to turn it into a vacation. I'm looking forward to eating at Frasca and the Kitchen and just relaxing for a bit. I think Wimbledon is going on then, so I will enjoy that, too.

Frasca has slipped a little the last few times I've ate there. But the Kitchen is as good as always. The Med has improved, a lot better wine list the year or so than before and the food has improved. I love it for tapas during happy hour. Definitely plenty of hills to train on here!

I think it's at a lodge someplace close to Pidgeon Forge. If you'd like to do a little advanced planning our intention was to drive and swing through Memphis on the way so that we could get with you, Latour67, stemor, etc... for a dinner. We're coming and going over the July 4th weekend.

Look's like a week in Newport, RI, and Boston, for a wedding of a friend's kid, and a trip to Argentina, Chile and Brazil later in the year, with a long weekend somewhere as yet undetermined.

Utah, CA, and OR are on the list, CA & OR for obvious reasons, and perhaps more destinations in the Fall.

Any particular destinations in Argentina, Chile or Brazil? Can I come? I think I have vacation envy!

We've taken a very centrally located apartment in Paris for 2 weeks (near Les Invalides, Eiffel Tower, etc.) during July. I'm going to wear a beret and leave a cigarette-holder in my mouth while I explore the center of the city like a Parisian.

Road trip to Willamette Valley in late summer, couple weekends in Seattle and Victoria, and it'll be autumn again.

Road trip to the Greenbrier, in White Sulfur Springs West-by-God-Virgina next week. No corkage charges in the dining room, so am having fun putting together some stuff for the trip.

I'm heading to Napa next month for a few nights, not even leaving the state though.

Vegas after that, Big Bear (Mountains), then Cancun, and Poland later in the year.

Healdsburg, CA in June for the first real vacation in almost 10 years. All other travel will be work related - St. Louis, Atlanta, New York, maybe London.

With what they charge for a room per night, I'd hope they didn't charge corkage. Big Grin

When in doubt, open another bottle.

Just checking back in on this tread to correct my earlier misstatement! Mad Despite what I was told, twice, by folks in reservations........corkage is not permitted at any price at the Greenbrier. Frown I called the resort, after standing up some nice bottles yesterday, to speak with the beverage director about decanters. I was told that the other staff were in error!

Good news is that we hit it off famously, and he's got over 400 bottles that he discovered upon his recent arrival at the resort that aren't on any of their lists. We'll drink well, in any event.

Bummer about the corkage, though.

Late Spring and Summer is prime outdoor season here...the wife golfs and I paddle (ocean kayak).
Got lots of weekend paddles planned, and one or two multi-day expeditions.
Taking my dear 'ol Mom down to Seattle in early July so she can see her beloved BlueJays play a set.
Other than that...hoping to do Vegas in the fall.

Canadian weather?

I live in Eugene, in the Willamette Valley. No reason to go anywhere in the summer, very nice right here.

But it is nice to head to Arizona place when the rains start here in the fall.

Maybe Europe vacation again when the dollar gets better. Until then I will just drink our local Pinot Noir's.

Just got back from a long weekend in Southern Utah and Vegas. A trip to Nor Cal for a reunion in July, and probably another Calif trip this fall. Mexico (Tulum) this December for my wedding and honeymoon.

Had hoped on Italy this year, hopefully next.

A quick trip to Vegas for my b-in-law's 40th next month.

Otherwise, lots of "hanging out", waiting for the arrival of Little Gigabit #2 in August.
