Just what I like to hear, more arrogant comments from Patriot fans. The New England fans have become what they have hated for decades. Arrogant Yankee fans and Patriot fans are all the same now.

Your right wine wiz, it is arrogant for me to believe that the Pats will win this one by 21 points or so. There's no way on earth they could ever win like 38-17 or something like that. Won't happen. Just because the Pats are one of the best teams ever, and the Giants would be the worst team to ever win a Super Bowl (see for yourself). Maybe I've just read too much arrogant stuff like this article. Allow me to revise my actual thoughts so as not to get an earfull around here, after all, I am not entitled to my heartfelt opinion and certainly can't voice it around here.

In an effort not to offend I now think the mighty Giants with that proven QB of theirs will make this a close game, a nail bighter for sure. These damn Patriots I'm rooting for always let a big game get away from them, especially with two weeks to scheme and plan. Their coaches just aren't that good at it I guess. They don't have the offensive weapons to blow out anyone, I mean, the QB's and recievers are at best on par with New York. The Giants came to win also and they're every bit as talented and as well coached as New England, plus thay have all those players who have been to the big game before. Win or lose I'm just hoping for a good game. With a season point differential total of +22 the Giants have certainly proved they can compete toe to toe with the Patriots who only had a +19.7 differential. Only a moron could think they might win big. Oh wait, that 19.7 was per game, they were an all time best +315 for the season and they have Brady and Bellichick. Never mind, back to my original opinion. 38-17, that's my slightly educated guess based on stats, personell and experience.

And for the record, arrogance is based on exaggeration. I don't feel I'm grossly exaggerating to predict a 38-17 Patriots win. So we're really nothing like the Yankee's fans. Our team actually is one of the best ever at this moment, the Yankee's Suck! Razz

That's simply an ignorant statement. No team in any sport has established the consistent winning record of the Yankees. The Red Sox have won 2 World Series since the Yankees' inception. The Yankees have won 26. Right now, it appears the Red Sox are the better team. Enjoy your 15 minutes.

Just one more sip.

Speaking of ignorant you're wrong again as usual Board-O. Even though that was just a play on the chant the fans here do, I truely believe the yankee's are mediocre this year. I'm guessing you know very little about baseball and should stick to wine or stalking people across the boards here, two things you are clearly expert at. The Red Sox actually won 5 World series, including the first one, before the Yankees won their first genius. That's where the whole Babe Ruth "curse" comes into play. If you knew anything about the history of Yankee's baseball you'd know that. So they have a total of 7, 4th all time. So while the Yankees have a better history due largely in my opinion to the lack of a salary cap in MLB, their current team still stinks which was my point. Who's going to start for them. Hughes, Kennedy, Mussina, Wang and Petit. Please, 2 of them are washed up and 2 of them are unproven and one of them also has to cut out the HGH now. They have a great line-up but pitching wins in the post season. They'll win the wild card and go out again in the first round.

Back to football, go Pats!

Ignorant, thou art. You're confusing the Yankees with the Highlanders. Stick yo bvaseball. Your minimal knowledge there at least exceeds your wine knowledge. I'll give you an "A" for obfuscation though.

Just one more sip.

So what will you be drinking during the Super Bowl? I am leaning towards an '01 Pride Vintners Select Merlot and an '04 Felsina Rancia Chianti Classico Reserva.

Wrong yet again O. If a team has the same players and a new owner changes name, does that make them a new team? The official Yankee's website doesn't think so. I am well aware that you were probably there to witness this first, and therefore probably already know this, but according to their web site the Yankee's and Highlanders were one and the same Eek. If that's the sword you chose to fall on then here's a revised statement for you. The Red Sox won 5 before the Yankee's ever won one, THREE of them after the official name change to Yankee's in 1913. The current pitching roster is still mediocre, that's not changing. The Pats are still going to beat the Giants today, that's not changing either. Hope everyone enjoy's the game.

I do not like the Giants, but I do not like the Pats either. Being a Jet fan creates that issue. Razz Usually I don't like or hate either team in the Super Bowl. We have very few rivalries here in Jet country lately Roll Eyes

With gun to my head I will root for the Patriots as I'm pretty sick of seeing Mercury Morris, Buoniconti and the rest of the 72' Dolphins toasting champagne every year. So lets put those guys out to pasture finally. 30 years plus of bragging is enough. Wink I also like dynasties in the free agent era.

I am hoping for a good 3 quarter game with the Giants staying with them (20-17 or so) and then Brady popping 2 TD's at the end with a FG maybe, so the final will look worse than the game was.

So, I'll say 33-20 New England. Smile

Like Hunter I am so turned off by the '72 Dolphins actions and antics the I am pulling for the Pats. If it were not for what a bunch of ass clowns the Dolphins have been for the last 35+ years I would not care which team won.

Tom Petty sounded great, except for the fact that I would have rather seen him do 1 or 2 songs in their entirety rather than four abbreviated songs.

oh, and anything Manning, EWWWWWWW
