Up by 30 at half!
Except for a few TVs in Indiana, that sound you hear is the clatter of millions of remote controls searching for something else to watch. I'll probably hang in there until they bring out Jim Sorgi.

Hey! Pick this!!!
Even though neither of you actually made a wager for the November game, there is a little home game for the Skins against the Cowfairies coming up at the end of the year. Y'all know how to find me!! You can't say I ain't got cojones!!!

So how come I'm not hearing anything about the Colts running up the score. Everyone wanted Brady to sit whenever the Pats were up big even early in the games and do nothing but run draws and punt. Also what happened to the "blueprint" to beat the Pats, Pittsburgh must have left it at home with their guarantee. Hilarious that the guy who made it got burned repeatedly all game long. They're just a bunch of loudmouth dirty punks like the Ravens on the scrapheap now.
On top of that, sorry to all you haters out there, NOBODY is going to beat the Pats. They'll play everyone in the last game at least 3 qurters, they always do. Even in week 17 when everything that actually matters is wrapped up. They did against a dreadful 49ers team a few years ago just for practice. The Giants are the ones who will need to be resting up as they're injured and won't have the next week off like the Pats will. 13-0 and gaining the momentum again. The Jets really are going to be punished and the Dolphins, please. They are the worst non-expansion team I have ever seen.

Because the Colts swapped Manning out for Sorgi in the third quarter, and are plugging in lots of practice squad guys nobody's ever heard of. That's why.
As far as the "blueprint," the Steelers did a piss-poor job of executing it. The Pats are an excellent team, and I'll admit that most teams will be overmatched against them in the playoffs.

The Colts pulled their big names out later in the 3rd quarter. The Pats leave their guys in to pad stats. The Pats and Belicheat are a classless group if ever there was.
The Steelers were missing both their starting safeties today Clark and Polomalu, and their WR Santonio Holmes was playing on a sprained ankle.
The Pats are good but the Steelers are a banged up team. They played NE tough about half way into the 3rd quarter then everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
Right now everyone is talking about the Patriots, Cowboys and Packers. But I think the Colts sent a real message tonight. The Ravens team that nearly beat the Patriots just got blown out by the Colts.
The Colts are a forgotten team and they look to be getting stronger as the season goes on. When they get back Marv Harrison, watch out.
The Patriots have a good chance at going to the Super Bowl but the Colts or a healthy Steeler team could easily stop that as well. Even if the Pats get to the Super Bowl, the Cowboys and Packers are looking very dangerous.
The Pats a classless group? The "honorable" colts? Please! I think I'm gonna puke reading crap like that. Brady is about as classy as they come as are most of the players on that team. You'd know that if you knew anything at all about the Patriots. Sure they have some people who talk a bit of trash but that is a far cry from being one big classless group. Should the players take themselves out of the game or lay down so they dont hurt anyones feelings when the coach leaves them in? If you go after their coach that's one thing. Assuming the coach lacks a little class, which I can at least see an argument for, how does that make the team a classless group exactly? They don't do stupid celebrations after the score like Chad Johnson or T.O.
The NFC teams have no chance if it's the Pats or the Colts in the Superbowl. They only look good now because the NFC stinks. Seattle won the NFC west. They're a joke and so is that division, that's how bad the NFC is. You can write off an entire division form any serious playoff talk. The Cowboys and Packers are good teams but they can't beat either of the AFC's best teams. The Steelers are another middle of the road team, they lost to the Cardinals and the Jets with Polomalu and a healthy Holmes. The Pats have big injuries too like Colvin and Morris as does every team. Excuses like that are for losers.
As for the "honorable" Colts, Peyton Manning had 6 touchdowns when up by 21 points or more in his 2004 season when he set the record. Marino had ZERO in '84 when he set the previous record. That looks like running it up to me. Read all about that in this article if you like http://footballoutsiders.com/index.php?p=2156. If not scoring when you're up big is your definition of an "honorable" team then the Colts are no better than the Pats there. In game one this year up 42-10 over the Saints Manning stayed out there the whole game still PASSING and they did that all through his record breaking 2004 season too. Sorgie only played in 4 friggin games that entire season.
If you want to say the Pats are running it I would be hard pressed to argue with you there but come down off your hollier than though throne because all of your teams have done it too, especially the Colts, Cowboys and Packers. The offense's job is to score if they're out there, it's the other teams job to stop them if they can. Playing hard for 60 minutes isn't classless, I'd argue that doing it in the blowouts helped them condition themselves for the last two close games they went through and to comeback against the Ravens and Colts when it really mattered. They didn't give it their all last year for 60 minutes and it cost them the AFC championship. Hate them all you want, they are a great team and a classy group also. Nobaody can beat them so you will all be miserable when they take home their 4th Lombardi trophy in a few short months.
Interesting link. But, we're talking about football right now, not in 2004. While you're linking up an old article and saying "see, see, see," you're ignoring the fact that every team has had their hiccups. Geez, why don't you link to an article about the Colts leaving Baltimore in '84 while you're at it?
The Pats do have a lot of classy guys on their team, I'm a BIG fan of Seau, for one. But, the fact remains that the Pats' two major figureheads, Bellicheat and Brady are about as classless as it gets. Bellicheat, well because he's a boor, and absolutely nothing says classless like "hit and run" Brady.

Classic!
As a Dolphin's fan there is only one thing possibly worse than the Phins going 0-16 AND having the Perfect Season equaled. Losing four Super Bowls in a row like the Bills did would probably be worse, I'd imagine.
We might not have to worry about that "asterisk" being placed after a Pats perfect season (cheaters) if the Colts can nail 'em.
I find the whole "classless" thing quite amusing. Belichick is quite simply making a point - that they don't need cameras to whip somebodys a$$.
As far as Brady, indybob, you have no clue. This is a man who has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars and his MVP prize auto to his high school. He has demonstrated, year after year, what class is.

The official word varies between knee bruise and knee sprain. From what I'm hearing, he's just 35 years old, got his knee jammed pretty good, and it's healing more slowly than it would have ten years ago. Basically a nagging knee injury that's no-doubt full of fluid. He'll be ready to go by playoffs, otherwise, they would have put him on injured reserve weeks ago. Also, his conditioning has dropped off a bit. He's smart, does his homework, and shouldn't have much rust to knock off when he's ready to go.
Dom, uh huh, it's called good PR, nearly all of the top stars engage in it. Let's see Brady ditch the Brazilian cutie, reconcile with his baby mama, and learn how to really be a man, a man with class. Then, I'll be impressed.

MiamiAtty, are you actually serious? Bashing the Bills? How many Super Bowls has Miami been to in the past 20 years? Exactly. Stop living in the past man. Look on the bright side, season tickets next year to your beloved fins should be cheaper than a high school football game. Rightfully so, considering most high school teams could beat the fins this year.

Let's see here, indy. It has nothing to do with PR, as most of the donations have been done without notice (until the school's annual report comes out - and then it only goes to alums). The car he donated for a school raffle. It isn't a PR thing.
As for the "baby situation", I guess by your logic, all formerly married men who had children are "classless"....

As far as the donations, if it went down like you say, I applaud Brady on his generosity, really.
But, about Brady's baby-mama (or the "baby situation" as you refer to it), it sounds like somebody's feeling guilty, hmmmm? (Brady wasn't married BTW, an important distinction which you're obviously flummoxed by).

The donations did...
As for feeling guilty, no not me. I am quite happily married, have not been divorced, and to the best of my knowledge have had no children out of wedlock .
Since nobody on this board knows all of the circumstances about the conception of the baby, their relationship etc..., one can only speculate. I do seem to recall that he is writing some nice checks (not as if she needs it).
I am not flummoxed. It was your comment about reconciling with his "baby-mama" and being a real man which I found to be ludicrous. Simply extend the logic. So, if you are in a horrible relationship, have children, and get divorced, then you are not being a "real man"?

Actually, Brady dating a super model after breaking up with a pregnant girlfriend is not "classy" in my book either. Truthly, I stopped watching American football about 3:30 pm and watched a repeat of Wigan Vs. Bolton. Pats are not getting my advertising $.
Oh, and PurpleHaze, I thought you had more sense than to bet on Washington.

Most, if not all, professional athletes donate either large sums of money to charitable causes &/or have some sort of a foundation. It’s not a matter of Brady having class; it’s a matter of Brady protecting his assets from the taxman.

A bit of a gross generalization, but I won't quibble. Let's just say that the amount that Brady has donated, and how he has gone about donating resonate class....

I won’t say whether Brady is a classy person or not since I really do not know that much about him. The reasons for his breakup with Bridget Moynihan are not known to me and I can’t judge him based on that. It's their private matter. I will say that the person in the Patriots organization that does not resonate class is Belicheat. His whole act of snubbing opposing coaches is growing a bit thin. I’m really hoping he gets his a$$ handed to him by the Colts.
