the Patriots are the best team in the league, but they are far from unbeatable... the Colts & the Eagles both proved that

No. I didn't see that one, but I saw the Cowboy-Patriot game. I was rooting for the Cowboys, but they were clearly outclassed in that game. Even when the Cowboys took the lead in the third quarter, the Patriots looked to be the better team.

True Board-O, but I can also say that the Cowboys have improved since then.
We'll see in due time, hopefully...

Although I have no dog in the fight when it comes to the Patriots, that argument can be refuted with one simple word....

"Scoreboard"

Couldn't agree more. Unbeaten is unbeaten. Moral victories are for losers.

Just for the sake of a friendly argument Kumazam, how exactly did Philly or Indy prove that to you? Indy was the second best team at the time and lost. Philly played an amazing game, but still lost. How does that PROVE the Pats are beatable? I have to agree with GA on this one, to me that just proves beyond a doubt a few teams on a good night can stay in the game and not meet the same fate the Redskins, Bills, Dolphins and others met.

The Colts-Pats game proved that Payton Manning may be a great QB but Tom Brady is $$$MON-EY$$$.

All teams are beatable. All. Perhaps the Pats will to 19-0 this season. Doesn't prove they're unbeatable, just that nobody was able to do it in the time afforded. What if each season were 30 games, or 100 games? Think the Pats would go 100-0? Nah.

GA, that sound I hear isn't you hopping off the Raiders horse and buggy, and onto the Patriots bandwagon is it???

And GA, please don't co-opt my "Scoreboard" rant. I'd appreciate credit, especially, as teams have been claiming "Scoreboard" over your Raiders all season long. The Raiders finish off the season at Green Bay, vs. the Colts, at Jacksonville, and vs. My Chargers. The Raiders might win one of those. Yeah, it's gonna be a tough off season.

Here is the problem, much like your palate, your team loyalty sucks.

Bagging on the Raiders is pretty funny. They are supposed to suck. Now how about your Chargers? Aren't they supposed to be the class of the AFC? I guess only if that class is special education. The Colts are done.

Not a Pats fan by any stretch of the imagination, as for your use of "scoreboard" as being original, take a step back, much like the other thoughts that comes from your inferior brain, there is no originality that came from that spongy orb.

Now go ice down your wine troll.

First off let me disclose that I am very biased, have been loyal to the Pats for 30 years, even when they sucked, which was for a very long time. Lets give credit where credit is due, they are indeed undeafeated, whether they almost loss or not. At the end of the day, they are unbeatable and the best team in the league, plain and simple. How many other teams have done that up until this point in the past? Exactly. In my opinion, it doesnt matter if they win by 60 points or squeeze it out in OT, get the win and get the hell out.
I know how most non NE fans feel, no one likes domination by a particular team in a particular sport, especially if it isnt their home team, ie: Chicago Bulls and MJ---hated them, despised them but appreciated what they achieved. Peace.

Cowboys can win if our offensive has a great day, keep the penalties down, and our defense starts picking off interceptions and Demarcus Ware can get to Brady.
We are capable. We done all that to other teams.
Pats have the experience and the arsenal of talented receivers no doubt, it will be an up hill challenge for us.

I agree Purple, i think the cowboys have the best chance out of anyone in the NFC, no doubt. No matter who makes it to the super bowl I just hope its a good game, of course you know who I will be routing for (assuming they make it!)

Loyal Pats fan here for 25 years, that's about as far back as I can remember anyways. At the risk of sounding stupid here, how do you know every team is beatable? Not just this team, but any team that is on a run or undefeated. Indybob knows more about football than I probably ever will would be my guess. I can admit that. But unless you can get into hypotheticals like what if Brady gets hurt, or what if Moss, Welker and Stalworth all break legs in a game, or what if they played 100 games a year, how can you say definitively they are beatable until it has been done? The team that shows up every weekend for New England doesn't look like anyone can beat them in my opinion unless of course injuries make them a different team. If they lose a game is the only way to prove that it can be done in my book.

Can Brett Favre winn in Dallas? 0-9 career there so it doesn't look like it to me. I'm not willing to say he can until he does. The Cowboys do look like the class of the minor league NFC this year now.

Another disappointing season for my Giants. With all the talent, they'll have to be lucky to get a wild card spot.

Good to see Adrian Peterson back and strong for the Vikings.

Rookie of the year! Smile

Is this the best game they could come up with for the 4 O'clock start? Eli Manning is one terrible quarterback. The Giants will never win anything with him at the helm.

I suffered through this for years, Rex Grossman is a Drew Bledsoe clone. Great arm and able to make the easy plays for big numbers but a terrible decision maker under even a hint of pressure. He'll never win anything either.

Hate to say never, but yes, I agree. Eli's a really good guy too. I'd love to see him succeed, but it may not be in the stars.

For the first time in a long time the Raiders looked good.

I'm also a Chargers fan, and they were pretty awesome today too.

Next season, next season....

I'm with your Peer Gynt, it was good to see Oaktown pull one out against Shanahan for once.

The G-Men are currently tied for the THIRD best record in the NFC. Eli is not Peyton, but somehow, someway, the Giants are tied for THIRD best record in the NFC. Probably more than any other sport, football is a TEAM sport. Maybe the Giants don't have a very good team, but somehow they are 8-4 right now.
