i think we're going to see an upset in the AFC championship game.
Maybe. Playoffs are a different game than regular season.

I'm thinking re-match of 96 with the Pats and Pack.
If you see an upset it wont be by the Colts. I'm expecting them to be one and done unless Harrison gets back to 100%. Manning and his cre of humpty recievers haven't looked good enough to me to win anything. Maybe not even the AFC South. They looked pretty bad against the Chargers and Chiefs and the Chiefs are a bad team. The Falcons are barely an NFL Team. Banged up on the road in the cold? Can't see it happening this year.
Hoping for 4 Rings for Brady. Go Pats!

Well I am very new to these threads and certainly dont want to tick anyone off but I have to agree with Ice, he is right it will be a rematch with Green Bay but our Pats will dominate for sure. I hope so, i have a parlay on them going undefeated for the season through the super bowl

I just made a friendly wager with a buddy of mine. He took the Pats to win it all, I took the field. I like my chances.

Well Indy, best of luck to you, the odds are certainly in your favor, but i took the Pats at the beginning of the season to do it and if it happens you will see my face shining from Indy that night. You cant imagine the action on this wager. Go Pats baby!!

Just a sixer of beer-of-choice. When I beat him, I try to find something in the $10/six pack range.

Indybob has good odds I guess, but I'd go with your buddy on this one.
I did win a bottle of Isosceles on a Brady/Bledsoe bet a few years ago but nobody seems to want the action against them lately. My brother and cousin are die hard Dolphins fans, poor guys. They bet on the fish in our pool every week and it's killing them. Maybe they'll take the bet when the teams play in a few weeks for a small wager if I give enough points. Sam Adams winter ale is out, I'd enjoy a six pack of that.

Big question is do the Pats save some of their starters for the play-offs and if so, when? If they have home field throughout the play-offs secured, do they risk the health of their starters and to what extent? The Jets have nothing to lose and lots of incentive to go all out. Maybe Miami blitzes EVERY down just to get to Brady.
The Pats struggle when Brady is stressed. Their O line has been unbelievable this year. They are the most disciplined team in the NFL.
The Giants may have more to play for than the Pats at the end of the year. One can hope.

Thats my concern Juicy, I think they will rest Brady and others which means they will probably lose a game or two ( which means I lose my bet . ) I also think the teams left to play them dont have much to lose and will do whatever possible to beat them, I just hope no one gets hurt. Yeah, the Giants will have a good chance, maybe my neighbor, a huge NYG fan will bet me straight up?

Take the bet against the Giants as long as the Pats are playing to go undefeated. If not, well I wouldn't bet the farm on Cassell. The Giants had plenty to play for against Minnesota too but little brother Manning stunk up the joint yet again. Giants fans can at least be happy that Rivers isn't any better so trading for the holdout really hasn't hurt them.
Does it bother anyone else that the NFL network is the only place to catch the game tonight. I don't have it so I might head out to a bar to catch it, should be a great one. Go Packers! Even if I did have it, their broadcasters were so bad last time I might just listen to it on the radio.

I just read a report (no NFL Network at my house ) that Favre is gripping a football on the sidelines and could return. He's a gamer...

Watching my first game this year on the NFL Network. Their coverage is simply dreadful and bush league!

I listened to the game on radio and Dick Enberg was excellent as usual. I do not pay for boxing, football, or any other sport. When boxing went to pay per view, I stopped participating. I will do the same with NFL football as there is a game on the radio while you can get a few things done while listening to better broadcasters than are on television most of the time.
Some of this bad taste in my mouth on this topic is probably due to my living in the Bay Area where we seldom have a double header on either major network as the pre-game show or after game show will pre-empt the second game so we get one niner game and one raider game unless either is blacked out due to low ticket sales. Yes, sometimes we HOPE for a blackout so we can see a game like the Colts and Pats.
Los Angeles is very wise in NOT wanting a franchise as they get the BEST games EVERY week.

If the NFL Network starts forcing me to pay to watch the Cowboys, then I will. I assume that is the direction they are going to make this an extra premium channel. I would just about rather turn off the sound Sunday and Monday night than listen to the color commentary. But I told WIML during last nite's COWBOYS WIN that Collinsworth was getting all the calls wrong.

I watched last night's game. If not for two plays, the Packers' 60 yard run and TO tossing a touchdown away for an interception, it could have been really lopsided. That said, neither of these teams appeared to be in the Patriots' class.
Just one more sip.

Agreed, even the 3 clowns on ESPN for the MNF are better.

Hmm Board-O, did you watch the Pats-Eagles game last Sunday? The Pats didn't really play well. Last night for some reason the Cowboys slowed down a lot in the second half. If they kept pressuring the QB they would have scored more.

I think either the Cowboys didn't quite know how to play Rodgers or the front line started covering the quarterback better for the Pacs. I agree that the Cowboys were the team though they made some costly mistakes.

No. I didn't see that one, but I saw the Cowboy-Patriot game. I was rooting for the Cowboys, but they were clearly outclassed in that game. Even when the Cowboys took the lead in the third quarter, the Patriots looked to be the better team.
Just one more sip.
