Any good restaurants and wine stores around this area?

I'll be there for a few days next week.

Thanks

I will be staying in Denville and will have a car. I always go to a great restaurant in Morristown called La Campagne which is byow but I'd love to try something different.

Thanks

red, I grew up not too far from Morristown. There's a great steak place in Mendham called Sammy's. Best place in the area that I can think of.

Just one more sip.

I misspelled the restaurant. It is La Campagna on Elm Street.

redknife - La Campagna is a good restaurant. Town of Madison is not that far away from Denville (maybe 20 minutes) - lots of byo's in this town. You might want to try Il Mondo Vecchio on Main Street.

Scalini Fedeli (sister restaurant) located in Chatham is also very good. They now have a liquor license so if you want to byo you should call for corkage (not sure of fees).

Thanks for the recs. I stopped by Mondo Vecchio today just to check the dinner menu. I may have dinner there tomorrow.

Tonight I am between La Campagna and Garlic Bistro in Madison; Have you been there (Garlic Bistro)??

Yes, we frequent the Garlic Rose Bistro regularly in Madison (they have another location - not sure where???). Always a nice casual dinner(no rush). There is another place in the Madison area that we found called Terre Mare that is very good also and byo - across the street from Il Mondo Vecchio.
