Me too! I'm happy to start it out and get the pot stirred.
New England: The dreaded Patriots have to be considered the favorite. They definately reloaded in the offseason, and retained my-man Junior Seau. My pick to win it all.
Indy: Unless their defense shows well early this season against multi-headed offenses like New Orleans and Tennessee, their brilliance in the post season last year should be considered a fluke. If the defense is for real, two in a row. If not, AFC title game at best.
Chargers: My sentimental favorite. Maybe one of you other San Diego honks can break the team down, but Norv Turner??? Wild Card win at best. Just maybe they'll gel and pull something off like Gruden did when he was a first-year coach in Tampa. But, whether crappy or super, the Chargers are rocking the best song. Plus, San Diego gets extra votes for their cheerleaders.
Evil Raiders: 0-16.
NFC teams: <cue crickets>
Toodles,

Go Cowboys! If Romo plays like he did for the 1st half of the season then they're going all the way but if he plays the way he did for the second half, it's gonna be a long season...

Gee, I wonder why? 0-16, but that week three showdown with the Browns may trip up my prediction early. I hope the Browns can manage a safety to win 2-0.

If they can rebound from their annual beat down at the hands of Indy in week 4 to show against my Chargers in week 5, they may have a chance of making some noise this year. BTW, Simeon Rice was the class-act who publicly disrespected Pat Tillman for joining the US Rangers. Rice could think of nothing more to say than Tillman was a lousy football player.

As a Dolphins fan, the past few years have been pretty rough. However, I am looking forward to this season to see how Cam Cameron handles the coaching. He certainly made some interesting, and potentially questionable, moves this offseason. I hope his decisions work out and that he turns out to be the offensive genious that everyone says he is. Unfortunately, it is going to take a couple of years for his plan to unfold. I just hope my dreams for Dolphins greatness doesn't go up in a cloud of marijuana smoke like the Ricky Williams debacle. Should be an interesting season.

im hoping my beloved Hawks turn the corner this year after an injury plauged, Madden Cursed season last year... Offensive starters Hasselbeck, Alexander, D Jackson, B Engram & Jeremey Stevens never played 1 snap simultaneously last year... even through all that they were 10 yds away from the NFC Championship game... lot of potential this year... 2 new starting Safeties in Deon Grant & Brian Russell, Troufant moving over to the strong side since Jennings is coming into his own, Patrick Kearney replacing Rinstrom and positive notes coming from the defensive draft picks... not to mention Lofa & Julian Peterson at LB with Mora Jr now there to help the defense... on paper it's pretty good, we'll see... with Hasselbeck & Shaun healthy, a hopefully more solid D that wont give up the big play and an emerging DJ Hackett, should be a good season for the Hawks only concern is the O-Line is in transition and still shuffling guys in, but most learned their hard knocks last season, but still, we'll see!

Wow, you're fired up, Bob! Was just a little competitive banter - nothing meant to offend fans of other teams - especially the Super Bowl Champion Colts!
