Who know given where the writers are taking things? Last episode was seemingly about torture, Vorenus's children and Timon's home life. Last season, Timon seemingly had no family and occassionally serviced Atia. Now, he has a devoted family and a brother who stands in as his conscious. Why this is being brought in now is a mystery to me. The torture was completely gratuitous and the recovery of the children overplayed. I also don't know why they have given Agrippa the hots for Octavia.

Sir,
In 38 minutes I will be watching Rome. I have never watched the Grammy Awards and now would be a bad time to start...cause Rome is on.

Thoroughly enjoyed season 1 on DVD this past summer. I’ll wait for season 2 on DVD this summer.

Interesting indeed! Even more fascinating is how they can fit 4 paragraphs of Bush bashing into a review of a television show about ancient Rome. Roll Eyes

Oh, wait...it's Salon...that explains it! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yes, there was some criticism of the Administration's foreign policy. That is the author's usual beat. I tend to gloss over that sort of stuff if it isn't all that relevent to the article.

Regardless of political bent, comparisons of Rome to the reigning empire at the time seem to be nearly required of any overarching discussion.

This week's episode was fairly good in terms of the actions of the nobles. I liked seeing the machination of the Second Triumvirate and how the writers lead to Antony's wedding.

The plot relating to the masses was less interesting. I remained perplexed by the purpose of the whole Timon thread.

As for Gaia, she has her appeal (although I prefer Pullo's wife) but her character is behaving as if she's in a porn flick. Will the pizza delivery boy be next?

She truly had no equal. I was hoping they would bring her back this season in Pullo's dreams. Wink

You know it. I never miss an episode.

Only one episode left. Frown

That Cleopatra sure did Mark Antony in. Eye make-up, earings. They were beginning to look like Flock of Seagulls or Human Leauge. Red Face

I can't wait till Antony and Cleopatra commit suicide.

I'm confused by this, weren't you watching the show where she bought the poison and put it into her drink? It wasn't exactly a mystery.

Sunday's episode was absolutely the best in the series and one of the best things I've seen on TV in a number of years. So many of the scenes were well acted and had excellent direction. I also think the set designs improved this year and that was really on display in the views of Egypt.
