It came free for a year with our new car and I dont think I'll be able to get my wife to give it up. Personally, I like 80s on 8 and coffee house. You get to hear some cool acoustic songs on coffee house.

I've had Sirius for about three years. Probably in this order: Stern, CNN, NPR, Raw Dog, Soul Town, Underground Garage, Liquid Metal, ESPN, plus a few others when the mood strikes (real jazz, shade 45, chill, backspin, POTUS politics). Love most of Howard, but can't stand Bubba the Love Sponge, second-fiddle show on the Howard channels.

I've also had it a few years now and, after moving around the channels a lot, have gravitated in no particular order to:

The Heat
The Joint
Area
80s on 8
90s on 9
Chill
Watercolors

occasionally wondering to Real Jazz, Metropolitan Opera, Caliente, Backspin, Lithium and Classic Rewind

I'm an avid satelite radio person and a stockholder in Sirius-XM (that wasn't a smart move though). I have found that once you give satelite a try it is very hard to go back to terrestrial radio because of the multitude of commercials.

Howard Stern is the reason I got into satelite radio but there are lots of other favorites (I too hate Bubba the Love Sponge though) including all the NFL games, ESPN radio, 70's and 80's channels and some of the channels that play more obscure cuts.

Howard Stern, Spectrum, Area 33, The Chill channel and of course the Grateful Dead station.

Also the Real Jazz and Blues station rocks as well. For terrestrial radio, the NYC market is horrible for choices.

Huge fan of sat radio...been on XM for about 5 years. Favorites in no particular order:

Bloomberg (IMHO better than the ranting talking heads on CNBC)
Sirius NFL
Lithium
Alt Nation
Classic Vinyl
First Wave (kind of hit or miss)
Radio Margaritaville
Jam On
XMU
Met Opera Radio
Real Jazz

I don't think I could live without sat radio anymore. When I'm in a car where I have to listen to free radio I go crazy...

Sirius
14 Classic Vinyl
15 Classic rewind
16 Deep tracks
71 Water colors
72 Real jazz
Pops
Symphony

Think the car has am/fm, Razz but never listen to it. Also have a 6 CD changer that seldom used. Guess we are addicts to satellite radio. even have it on at work

The 'first year free' deal when you purchase/lease a satellite capable car is great marketing. I had no idea I'd really like it at all. Figured it would be a waste.

Once you have it, you MUST keep it.

When I first used it I was traveling long distances a lot in the car and this is truly where sat radio shines! No more continuous series of po-dunk radio stations drifting in and out AGGGGH!

Of course I could listen to CDs or simply attach my Ipod but I prefer the randomness of St Radio and that I don't have complete programming control

Got it for free because of a new car purchase. They keep calling me to renew, told them no thanks.

Not really a big deal, overrated, don't miss it. If I did not have an Iphone I might still have it.

Just cancelled mine last week. Have had it for over 3 years.

I work from home and just absolutely refuse to pay extra to listen to it on the internet when I'm already paying for the service.

I really enjoy it when I'm in the car and listening to it but can't get over paying for something i don't use all the time. If the internet were free I'd keep it, Their loss, they can lose my monthly fees over being greedy and wanting another $1.95 a month. Just a matter of principles for me.

I don't mind spending $100's of dollars on a bottle of wine but don't charge me $1.95 to listen to my satellite radio at home, lol.

Favorite Channels, until it expires

Hair Nation
Stern
80's
ESPN

Love it. I hate it when I drive my wife's car and I have to listen to inane commercials. I don't need it at home so that is not an issue.
Typically (Depends on mood):
Alt Nation
Lithium
1st wave
Real jazz
The joint
Bluesville
Classical pops

Do you have satellite tv? The music is free with certain packages, which is what made it redundant for me.

Thats it; I'm moving to Canada. "Free" healthcare AND free internet satellite radio; could it get any better?

And I'll bet its not 104 degrees there today either!
