Every time this thread gets revived it makes me nostalgic. I need to go back and soon.

The Court of Two Sisters has been a favorite of mine for years. I haven't been there since Katrina but I'm pretty sure they're still on Bourbon Street.

Hit Parkway Bakery and Tavern on the way out of town. Perhaps the best Roast Beef Po Boy in the city.

I'm heading back to New Orleans in a month. Any new restaurants I should try? Going to hit up Stella because I missed it the first time, but I need another place to go for dinner and a couple of lunches.

Just got back from New Orleans and dear Lord I love that place.

Arrived Thursday night and had a burger at Port of Call (one of the best I've ever had). Headed over to Vaghan's to hear Kermit Ruffins play some music.

Friday morning, coffee and Beignet at Cafe du Monde (as good as I remembered).

Friday lunch was at Galatoire's, which was a little disapointing this time around. Had Crabmeat maison and Oysters Rockefeller to start (outstanding). Mains were Shrimp Marguery (disappointing) and Sheephead Meuniere Amandine (really good). Wasn't as good as last year and wouldn't go back.

Snack of a dozen raw oysters at Cassamento's, which were amazing at around 4 and then off to dinner at Clancy's which was amazing. Started with Fried Green Tomatoes, with crab sauce and fried oysters with Brie. Mains were filet Bernaise and the smoked duck (best dish of the day). Lemon icebox pie for dessert was just what the Dr. ordered and was outstanding.

Breakfast at Elizabeth's in the Bywater on Saturday morning. Eggs Elizabeth, Crab cake Benedict, biscuit and gravy and praline bacon were a pretty awesome way to start the day.

Lunch at Domilise's, one shrimp Po boy and one Oyster Po boy. I absolutely love this place, Manning memorabilia notwithstanding.

Dinner at Stella was the meal of the trip. Two different foie starters (a BLT) and seared with a walnut apple spring roll. Also had some risotto, with shrip and Andouille sausage (so smoky and good).

Mains were a Walu (a fish I'd never heard of) and the best lamb I'd ever had (can't believe I didn't write down what the other ingredients were).

The homemade ice cream and the triple creme grilled cheese sandwich with chocolate Ganache for dessert. Perfect way to end a weekend of amazing food.

Only regret was not making it to Coops Place (couldn't remember where it was), but it's on the list for the next trip.
