Yummy once or twice a year. Love it, but always regret it after. It can sit a bit heavy.

The irony that I would hear of Poutine for the 2nd time this week after never having heard of it before.

Guilty pleasures:
- Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed Donuts
- Fried porks chops with rice & brown gravy. Eek

Poutine is a very Quebecois creation. I imagine that escape remember this, from his days here.

How could I have forgotten Krispy Kreme donuts??? As a resident of Winston-Salem, this is a sin. Excellent call Spanky65.
Although I absolutely love the chocolate glazed variety, the plain glazed donuts, when hot, have to be one of the most glorious substances on the face of this planet.

While more than one serving will probably ruin your arteries for life, Bread pudding with Krispy Kreme donuts is quite tasty as well.

Poutine is amazing, though the quality is probably much better in PQ than what we find at our local Costco. I must admit though that every time I eat one I can actually feel a week being taken off the end of my life!

Have to second Chik-Fil-A. The second thing I do when I find out I'm going to the US is to see if there's a location nearby (very happy the day I learned there's one in Racine, WI).

Also love ice cream sandwiches. Very little else that I'd want after grilling a few burgers and brats on my Big Green Egg than an ice cream sandwich.

The McRib (aka: Krusty Ribwich)

Voice-over: Like a rib, it tastes like liberty. Like a rib, with a bun of sesame. We start with authentic, letter-graded meat, and process the hell out of it, till it's good enough for Krusty.
Krusty: Try my new Krusty Ribwich. Mmmm. I don't mind the taste.
Marge: Oooh, a new hamburger sandwich.
Homer Simpson: Wow, I can't wait to pack that into my colon!
Bart: Dude, take it easy on the fatty foods. You're running out of leg veins to transplant into your heart.
Homer Simpson: I've got arm veins, don't I?
Bart: Yes sir.

Homer Simpson: Three Ribwiches, please. And instead of a shake, I'd like a blended Ribwich.
squeaky-voiced teen: I'm sorry, sir. The Ribwich was for a limited time only.
Homer Simpson: Not again! First you took away my Philly Fudgesteak. And then my Bacon Balls. Then my Whatchamachicken. You monster!

Great call, mneeley! I grew up on year Yakima and had some of the best taco truck eats ever. When I was working out in the peach orchards, they'd drive out to the fields around lunchtime and all of the workers would line up. There's something about the simplicity of the meat, minced onion, cilantro, lime, radish and hot sauce. Forget all that other stuff like cheese, etc. etc. So good!

My other guilty pleasure: Dick's burgers. A couple of Deluxe after a few beers and I'm a happy guy.

Cheers!

Ever had fried bologna? It adds a different flavor altogether. I, too, like bologna from time to time! Great call...

Cheers!

BRR, I agree on the Dick's Deluxe, but to get the full Dick's Experience, you have to order from the Ave(Broadway) location. Then you peoplewatch as you eat. Big Grin

Remind me of that the next time we offline in Ottawa. Not sure that Bocado or anywhere else would let us bring our own dessert though.....

BTW, nothing goes better with butter tarts than a tawny-coloured Rutherglen stickie. Add President's Choice butter tart ice cream (yes, it really exists!) and I start purring like a puddy-tat! Red Face

Pretty much anything on the menu at "The Hat" in Pasadena or Alhambra, CA is a guilty pleasure.

But especially their pastrami burgers, "wet" fries and chili fries.

Nice to see The Hat mentioned. I actually dream about their pastrami from time to time.

I'm going to have to vote Poutine as well. You can actually feel your arteries clogging as you eat it, but there's nothing better (especially after a night out on the town...).

Still trying to find a place in Munich that serves it, but I doubt I'll have any luck...
