We leave for Napa tomorrow early morning. The long anticipated trip arrives. We have some great wine tasting appointments made and dinner as well.
Always looking for those last minute suggestions.

Miner Wines in Oakville on the Silverado Trail. I guarantee you won't regret it. The wife and I enjoy everything they make. Ask for Jaime and tell him an extremely cool guy from Atlanta sent you. Smile Smile He'll know who you are talking about!

Cool, I will add that to the list. Do they require appointments?

No appt. necessary. Right next door to them to the north is Pina. It's a working winery type atmosphere, but the wines are phenomenal and the two guys that work it, Chuck and Jared (??) are cool guys playing rock and roll in the shop. If you go to Miner ask Jaime about it. He's the one who turned us on to it a few years ago. Great wine, no pretentiousness.

Just got back to Napa - seems like tasting prices are up again - Larkmead now $20, although they will waive 1 tasting fee per 3 bottles purchased.

My thanks to all for the Napa Winery suggestions. As usual we ran out of time and left some for next year. We did get to Larkmead, which is a visit well worth making for anyone who has never been. A friendly, fun, knowledgeable staff awaits you and thier wines are fantastic. I just wish they could ship to New Jersey. They did provide a distributers name, so all we can do is try. Visted quite a few other great places if anyone is interested.Minor is on the list already for the next trip.

Yes...I also noticed prices for tasting has gone up. We were able to get almost all waved by buying wine to ship, or industry discount for our wine related site.
