Not Really

But we beat L.A. for the opportunity to represent the United States vs the rest of the world. I don't think there is a very good chance of Chicago getting the Olympics in 2016. I think Rio de Janeiro is the odds on favorite so far. But I was surprised L.A. didn't get the nod. Experts say they have better infrastructure in place but I thought the reason they'd get picked was for something else. The States most visible export to the rest of the world is movies and TV. I thought the selection committee would feel the rest of the world would rather go to L.A. Hollywood, Movie Stars, TV Stars. Nice win for Chicago.

Een, Vino Me and other formulites that live in the city, the rest of us are all crashing on your couch if Chicago gets the bid. Razz

And, get ready Chicago. The townies in Indy are already making noise about trying to hop onto the Chicago bid. I'm already hearing about how the fabled Hoosier hospitality would be an asset to Chicago. Puh-leaze.

If corn detasseling or greased pole climbing makes the 2016 Olympiad, I'm sure Indiana can lend a hand. We serve a mean Walking Taco though!
