Is anyone else watching this?

I absolutely love to watch Roger Federer play and think he conducts himself with class so I'm cheering for him. Unfortunately, I think that this might be Nadal's or Blake's turn.

Kim Clijsters is playing well. I think since this is her last year, it is affecting her for the positive. She and Hingis are playing each other next and I hope either goes on to the finals.

Federer may let Nadal win the French Open, but he owns the other big three tournies. He his a great champion with, as you said, a lot of class

Serena been interesting. She obviously isn't as committed to conditioning as she was 3 years ago, but the power and commitment are still there.

Federer is in my view the class act of all the games I've watched this year, and I can't see him dropping a set in the final.

Serena has been a big surprise and I'm glad to see it. The Hingis/Clijsters quarterfinal is tomorrow and I'm anticipating it.

I hope you are both right about Federer. He's had a cold this week but I think he's starting to look more in form. Andy Roddick is looking strong but I just have never enjoyed his game or his attitude. I'd much rather Blake or Nadal won over Roddick.

I watched Sharapova last night. It will take somthing special to beat her. She's playing with a lot of power and accuracy and her temperament seems to be a lot more even now and she's working herself through bad pacthes a lot better than she used to. Plus the fact that she's amazingly attractive helps too.

Sharapova just won the first set against Chakvetadze 7-6. ESPN just showed the Women's top 25. It looked like half the list are Russians. They're really getting into tennis over there while sadly, the USA seems in decline. Go Serena!

Did anyone catch the Nadal/Gonzalez match? I've always kind of enjoyed Gonzalez but he's really improved his game. I hope he makes it to the finals.

I'm very concerned about the Federer/Roddick match. Roddick has improved his play and I fear he has a chance. I've never liked Roddick's style of play or his attitude and I really don't want to see him get past Roger.

Sharapova is playing well but she is not unbeatable. Kim Clijsters is playing with more confidence and what seems a sense of relief to be retiring. I look forward to their match.

Een,
Still worried about Roger winning the Australian? Probably not after his total domination over Roddick. Should be a good women's final. I'll be watching with the sound off as Maria's screaming is very annoying.

Apparently few watch tennis these days - no charismatic stars. The level of play is excellent, though.

Spiral, I felt a bit silly after watching that match. His play was sublime. I'm just finishing up the Haas/Gonzalez match before work. I like a Gonzalez/Federer match-up. It could be interesting.

I can't wait for the women's final. I also loathe the Sharapova scream. Sound off is wise.

Nooooo, that's the best part of her game. And, I'm bummed that she's toned it down over the past few years. It used to be a riot.

What an emphatic win! I typically hate that women's finals are so short but she just kicked such ass!

Now I wait for tonight.

No kidding! I've always thought the women should play 3 of 5, like the guys do. Maybe the tennis gods think the ladies might faint from overexerting themselves.

I think they should play 3/5 as well.

Serena hit some shots much harder than some of the men on the tour last night. It was pretty awe-inspiring.

Roger. That's major #1 of this year. If he can win the French Open, the other players shouldn't waste their time at Wimbedon or the U.S Open. I sense a grand slam this year. If he does it he will have 13 major wins. Only 1 behind Sampras. I think Pete's record is in trouble.

I'm watching it right now (I will confess to waking up at 3:30 a.m. like a kid waiting for Christmas and catching the end of the first set and the whole of the 2nd before going back to sleep). The first set they were very evenly matched. I've liked Gonzalez for a while so am happy he made it that far.

Pete Sampras' record is definitely in jeopardy. I still don't know if Roger can beat Nadal on clay but I'd love to see him take the French.

Serena really pulled one out of the hat. I know that in the end she one easily, but she was playing some very high risk tennis and managed to hit almost all her shots.

I watched Roger and you could tell as soon as he got his breakback in the first set that he'd established mental domination over Gonzales. Gonzales was playing incredibly well, but Federer just kept on returning the ball over the net.
