Making my way to Napa in May for my birthday. Was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on where to stay for around $150-$250/night. Would prefer to stay at a smaller boutique style hotel, but most of the better ones seem to be a little on the expensive side, at least for me.

Honor Mansion in Healdsburg is my favorite place to stay in the wine country. However, it is in Sonoma. This is the only 4 diamond b and b in Sonoma. They have the most amentities of any b and b I've stayed at...swimming pool, gourmet appetizers and wine, poolside massage, cookies and sherry, croquet courts, basketball courts, ponds, scrumptous breakfast and more.

You might be able to stay here in your price range during the week or with an internet special. They often have a special with the second night at half off. For pictures and more info on Honor Mansion go to: http://www.cheers2wine.com/honor-mansion.html

Rosenblum is having an open house May 19-20, http://www.rosenblumcellars.com/index.php?page=article&display=1004 but not in Napa closer to San Fran. For lodging check out Napa River Inn and River Terrance Inn, I stayed at both. River Inn is older but quaint, walking distance to restaurant downtown (Zuzu is great) while Terrance Inn is newer, right on the river and both include breakfast. Enjoy!

Calistoga Wineries Annual Spring Celebration takes place May 5 and 6. The $15 per person fees covers both days and included wine tasting, barrel sampling, food, and live music at the following wineries: Bennett Lane, Casa Nuestra, Envy Wines, Graeser Winery, and Zahtila Vineyards.
