It wasn't a mistake. He did it on purpose.
Just one more sip.

Sure, before and during the act, but after, I have a feeling that his viewpoint changed.

As someone who lives in Louisville, the restaurant happens to be owned by by his best friend. What he did was wrong, and like W+A said, the long term issue is his ability to recruit and sit in a high school players home and talk to him why he should come to U of L. When a local celebrity like Pitino does something wrong, yes it gets hours of news attention and becomes a frenzy of accusations from both sides of the issue. I promise you she is no saint. The bottom line is if his performance on the court suffers, then he must go. Just my 2 cents worth. IW

Rick Pitino made another mistake by having that bizarre Press Conference, which may have allowed him to vent and feel better, but really, it only keeps this story before the media and public!
Louisville has been the number one rival for the Memphis Tigers, and I wish this story would just go away. Pitino is good for Louisville and College Basketball. However, he's keeping this story center stage and its beginning to get a life of its own! He's close to being the next major college coach to down in flames! Dave Bliss, Billy Gillisppie, and remember Woody Hayes, all for different reasons, but with Pitino, sex sells, and he has embarrassed himself, his family, and the University of Louisville. I think Pitino is extremely close to earning more than a verbal reprimand!
