Can't believe I've just found this thread. I've been watching True Blood since day 1 and I freaking love it. I only started watching it because I've been watching Entourage every week since season 2, but now I look forward to it just as much as Entourage. Anyway, this season has been driving me absolutely crazy. The Maryann storyline has had me on the edge of my seat, even gave me nightmares one week. Had this really crazy dream where her and the really strange butler(?) guy had taken me hostage... I really like Anna, but the preacher's wife has been driving me crazy as well...and I'm a sucker for redheads so Jessica has my eye as well, especially in the scene where she goes to Merlotte's.

I want to see what happens when Sookie comes back from Texas and finds Mary-Ann in her house. This Texas part should wrap up in an episode or two, then there are still about 3 episodes.

**************Spoiler alert********************* I thought it was pretty good, it was the second straight week that ended with something that appeared very serious. I was relieved that Jason was okay, I'm definitely curious about how they're all going to make it out of the suicide bombing by Luke, it seems it will have to take some sort of Deus ex machina, a bomb malfunction or Godric some how being fast enough to stop the explosion, but it showed Luke push the button...so who knows? Something else that sort of struck me as odd was what an incredibly marksman Jason was, without any prior mention, unless I'm forgetting something, of Jason having experience with a rifle. I mean those were two pretty impressive shots hitting Rev. Newland in the hand and then square between the eyes.

ditto Tonight was ok, the season started off so well, though! I think these past two episodes are just to get to a big showdown between the vampires and MaryAnne. Should be interesting.

Great episode tonight. The show was meandering a bit last 2 episodes or so.
I was not clear on if Bill knew the queen already or he just knew of her. He did look like he crapped his pants when he saw her. I wondered if it was that vampire (his maker) he blew off in Texas. Probably not because Gottric gave her the boot also. He did look inconvenienced nonetheless. Can't wait till next Sunday.

they would not have hid her if it is bills maker. besides, she's far from "QUEEN" material. why he "crapped" is i am assuming someone already got to her and she is dead, no? quote: Originally posted by spo: I was not clear on if Bill knew the queen already or he just knew of her. I think the vampires flesh disintegrates when they are killed. Didn't the guy Bill killed in Fangtasia go kind of messy? I could see her foot with blood on it. We'll see.

I agree the past two episodes were a bit "off" and this one was back on. **SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER** The queen was very much alive. She is played by Evan Rachel Wood and will figure heavily in the last two episodes of the season. You could see a glimpse of Evan in the previews, but only for a second.

I bought season one on blu-ray, and enjoyed every episode. I DRV'd season 2, watching 2 or 3 episodes at a time. However, season 2, just doesn't cut it for me.
As spo mentioned, meandering in S2 is happening, and also, all of that Southern Texas cult religion stuff is a distraction. I would prefer this story stay deep in the darkest part of Louisiana!
Currently, I have the last three episodes DVR'd and may watch them tonight.

Latour, I think now would be a bad time to give up on the show.

totally! now is the time to suspend all belief in reality, but for f's sake, if you went into this show blind, you should be smack'd and don't deserve to finish it. meandering?<shaking head> quote: Originally posted by spo: Latour, I think now would be a bad time to give up on the show.

spo---I agree! Like I mentioned above, I bought season one, and I've got the last three episodes of Season 2 DVR'd, and I've seen every episode in sequence, but I do prefer to see several episodes at a time. My favorite series are "Dexter" and "True Blood" and both are excellent!

Latour, you have the last 3 episodes ready to watch now (am I understanding you correctly), how do you hold back? I am dying to see what happens. P.S. Don't tell me what happens.

spo You understand correctly! I enjoy viewing multiple episodes at a time, which is about the length of a movie. It is rather difficult to save episodes without viewing, but knowing you have several episodes to watch is a huge reward. (kind of like saving those special bottles for the future) I do the same with "Dexter", so I have two series to alternate. I watched the previous 3 episodes last night, (really good) and now I'm up to date on "True Blood"! I will save next weeks episode for watching with the season finale on Sept. 12th.

I re-read your question, and I think I misunderstood your question.
No, I do not have the final three episodes of True Blood, but I had the three episodes that were aired, August 9th, 16th, and August 23rd, and I had not watched them until Tuesday night, August 25th. Also, I will DVR the final episodes and watch them on the same evening.

2 weeks till the finale! Dialogue was great in this one. I like where this is going. I won't speculate on the previews publicly.
