Very exciting game last night. It would be nice to see them in the playoffs again and get the old rivalry up to speed. Of course this time I'd like the B's to be the #1 seed Wink

Wow, what a nice comeback win for the Hawks last night. Down 3-0 to Toronto, they win 5-4 in OT. They're now 3-0 on the Circus trip, a feat they haven't accomplished since '90-'91.

Unfortunately, they have to play the Sharks next on Wednesday.

Columbus certainly gave them a run. Good thing Nabby stood on his head in the first period to keep the Sharks in the game....

It got nasty with the Ducks as expected. Didn't expect St. Louis to come out so strong. But then, two more "W's"....

Blackhawks are hot right now. They've taken 11 out of the last 12 points possible. They start a tough swing through western Canada tonight with games in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. Tough places to play on the road, but the Hawks are playing well.

The Hawks laid a beatdown on the Oilers last night, 9-2. Calgary is next.

Let's see how the Sharkies respond against Detroit tonight. It should be a great game....

I'm going to have to see if I can find that game online tonight. I'll be rooting for the Sharks tonight for sure.

Sundin is a Canuck. I can hear it now:

Sedin passes to Sundin. Sundin back to Sedin. Sedin across ice to Sedin....He scores ! Sedin, from Sedin and Sundin.

Excellent news, the Canucks have outperformed expectations so far this season and if Sundin can play as well as he always has a decent playoff run may be in the cards for the first time in a while.

I wasn't able to watch the game in the Chicago market, but it doesn't sound like I missed much. When is the last time the Sharks gave up 6 goals? And how did Detroit (sucks) shut out what was the highest scoring offense in the league?

Is there panic out there now after 2 losses in a row? Wink My goodness, their lead in the West is down to a mere 9 points. Big Grin

You didn't miss anything. It was U-G-L-Y!!!

I can't believe that Nabby wasn't pulled after the first three goals.....

Tell me about it! I started watching about half way through the first and the Sharks were out-shooting detroit 9-2. 3rd shot from Detroit, a very weak shot I may add, score. 4th shot from detroit, another very weak one, score.

What the Confused

Clearly Nabby was off his game, I wonder if the injury is still bothering him. That game was flat oot embarassing.

Gaborik came back and had an assist and goal, but we still lost in overtime. Our goalie Backstrom is at the end of his contract this year like Gaborik and neither one will be resigned. How can we sell out every game every year and not resign our good players? Minnesota cheap I think is the answer. Frown

Hawks beat Calgary 3-2 in overtime last night. Another great game. Vancouver tonight. Dare I dream? Is it possible to get 3 in row out west?

Somebody pinch me... The Hawks beat Vancouver last night 3-1. 7 wins in a row, but now they don't play until after Christmas.

I saw my local OHL team, the "Saginaw Spirit" play their big rival, the "Windsor Spitfires" this past Friday. Lots of fights. The goalies even went at it. You don't see that too often. Last one I remember was Mike Vernon (Redwings) vs. Patrick Roy (Avalanche) back in the 90's.

I know it's not NHL, but consider it "pre-NHL" for many young players.

The Hawks tied a franchise record with their 8th win in a row last night. They knocked off Philly 5-1 and head to Minnesota on Sunday night.

Hawks 3 - 1 over Minnesota last night. 9 in a row with the hated Redwings up next for a home and away, including the Winter Classic on New Years Day.
