The Hawks seem to be on a roll since the hiring of Quenneville. Overall record of 6-3-3. This is their best 12 game start to a season since 2001. Also, they have yet to lose at home. Good stuff.

Another lockdown win for the Sharks, albeit vs. an injury riddled Wild. But a W is a W....

The Sharks pulled one out in the shootout, but Nabby hurt his knee. This could be a very bad thing.... Frown

Your Sharks are still sitting pretty right now. I'm looking forward to Sunday's game to see how the Hawks are measuring up this season. Still no regulation loss at home, but a tough game against the Bruins tomorrow night as they retire #3 in honor of both Keith Magnuson and Pierre Pilote.

Magnuson. What a blast from the past. I remember him playing against the California Golden Seals. Let's just say he wasn't very well liked at the Oakland Coliseum....

Who says you have to have a non-miser owner to be competitive in this league.

Dont hold your breath Ice! They did play a good game for sure, my Habs got out played big time. I dont think Price was really "at" the game. Some of those goals were weak. Look forward to the next one!

The Sharks absolutely CRUSHED Calgary last night. If the Sharks can bring it like that every night.....

DVD, it was sure nice to see after all those SOG they finally had a few bounce their way Smile

I can't believe how dominant they look this year! I think it shows that Wilson's conservative stingy defense was a mismatch for this teams offensive skills.

Of course, it helps that we have Boyle and Blake too! Good job, so far, Sharks management.

Melrose fired... GM says they are going to give Tocchet the time he needs and that they don't expect instant results. Why didn't the same apply to Melrose?

Here's hoping they don't bring it tonight. Hawks have yet to lose at home in regulation, but I'm not feeling too good about this game tonight. Especially after their last performance against the Blues on Friday night. They did sneak back to send it into OT, but the Hawks are only 1-5 in OT or the shootout.

Either way, I'd say the Sharks are the best measuring stick in the league right now. Let's see what the Hawks have.

The wild had another good win last night. We usually lose when it comes down to a shootout, but backstrom held up great.

I don't really know if I like those 6-5 games. But, again, a W is a W.

Nice to see the power play finally clicking over the last two games. Eight PP goals!!!

I don't think either team was too happy after that game. Obviously the Sharks feel better after the win, but neither team was stellar defensively. The Hawks had only given up 8 PP goals in 15 games - then they gave up 4 last night. Huet's save percentage was a whopping 81% last night. It might be a few games before he sees the ice again.

And now the Hawks go on their annual "circus trip" for 2 weeks while Barnum & Baily are in town. This trip has gone notoriously bad in the past. Here's hoping for break even on this one.

So far so good. Two games, two wins. One more win guarantees a .500 road trip. Bring on Toronto Saturday night.

Big game tomorrow night with the Habs. The Bruin's are looking good this year, another pounding like the last game might just make me a believer in this team.
