Agree with godx re/ Canucks.
I'm not so much a Canuck fan as I'm a fan of entertaining hockey no matter what Team.
The Canuckle-Heads look to very entertaining this season.

I've never been a fan of coach Ron Wilson...but he is a GREAT fit in Toronto... the Hockey media 'Center-of-the-World'.
His news conference after being drubbed 6-1 at home vs mega-rival Montreal was classic! Big Grin
Go Ron Wilson! Razz Popcorn
Wilson in TO will be as entertaining as the game itself.

Canadian weather?
Nine months of hockey and three months of bad ice.

3 for 3, Go Sharks!

I agree, DVD, that Bernier would be a great fit with the Canucks, I think he has good potential.

Dennis Savard fired this morning. Replaced by Joel Quenneville. We all thought this might be coming, but not after 4 games.

I'm sure Dale Tallon will be next. So much for all the good press and excitement around Chicago for the Hawks.

Gabby will be gone and I really think he is overrated anyway. A whiny biotch. Cool He will still get 8-10 Million a year somewhere which is a joke. Roll Eyes

Unfortunately not....

But I did see that you followed up the game with some fine Silver Oak and Artemis!!!!

At least the Sharks got back to winning Saturday night. Will make for an interesting game back in Philly on Wednesday....

They certainly do look good dont they Grossie. If they can stay healthy and Price keeps playing well, we should be there to take home the cup this year!

Assuming Price doesn't forget how to operate his trapper in the playoffs again.

Talk about a roller coaster ride last night. But hey, 6-1 ain't bad!!!

This "run'n'gun" style is so very different than what the conservative Wilson ran, so I have a question for all you Red Wings fans who are more familiar with the McClellan:

Is this what I should expect all year? Score lots of goals and give up lots of goals?

So far so good in the new Quenneville era with the Hawks. Three games, 2-0-1 record.

They dominated the previously unbeaten Oilers last night in what may have been the best game I've seen the Hawks play in many years.

Big game against the Redwings on Saturday night.

I think the only measure of his success will be if they do or do not make the playoffs, however as you mentioned it is certainly a positive sign that the team has started off well under him.

You always expect a little jump from the team when the coach has been fired. We'll see how it goes after a couple of weeks, when everybody has settled into their new roles.

You are correct about the playoffs though. However, if they miss the playoffs, it won't be Quenneville that will pay, it will be Tallon, in the unlikely event that he is still around by the end of the season.

I'd say that Tallon has a small window of opportunity right now to save his job. But, he's going to have to pull some rabbits out of a hat to get rid of Khabbibulin and acquire a second line center.

In the meantime, I am loving seeing the home games on TV. Every game in HD this year. I never thought I'd live long enough to see that.

Rumor had it that he actually had an injury. The Habs are always very tight-lipped about those sorts of things. In either case, don't forget that 2 wins so far have come on the back of Halak, who's no slouch himself. If Price gets into a slump at any time this season I full expect to see Halak filling in- he's an interesting young kid.

Very nice win by the Sharks last night. Holding the Penguins to only 11 shots? Impressive!!!!

The Bruins are finally starting to get it together. Maybe that terrible loss to Toronto was what they needed. I'm really enjoying watching the young guys play this year.
